“I’m not sir. Gibbs will do,” the former marine insisted. For some reason being called sir never settled right with him. He didn’t feel he deserved that after all he’d been through in his life.

Gibbs rattled off a number. “Send the location to that number and I’ll be there as soon as I can.” No asking if he could be there. No questions, no hesitation. He felt he was the one that knew Kate best and he would find her. That’s just how he was, it was nothing against Derek. 

The older agent had only heard Abby gushing about the handsome BAU agent, but nothing beyond that. He did know that Kate trusted him. And that was a hard earned thing from Kate.

They'd been arguing about Tony doing something dangerous when Kate suddenly shoved him into the wall and passionately kissed him.

Tony kissed back with all the passion he could muster in that second. Hands running through Kate’s hair and groaning quietly as he pulled back panting. “W-what…?”

Kate found the one he mentioned: PS I Love You and began playing it. “i will always worry, because I will always love you, Tony,” Kate replied as she lightly played with his hair.

Kate cringed over screwing up at reassurance, but he wouldn’t leave this time. Before he was all the way standing, Kate was in his lap, trying to hold him down, thought he could just lift her. “No need to run. I’m here. I’ll take care of you like I always do Tony.”

Kate took his hands in hers, rubbing on the back of each to help him relax. “if they didn’t how have I been able to continue finding you and we haven’t been arrested?”
