“What I do cannot be taught,” Lena explained, nor would she wish her condition on anyone else.  Sure she kept an up a positive attitude but if her stabilizer ever broke.  She’d be lost again, and she’d never be seen again.  “Sure! I’ve got nothing but time and coffee sure sounds nice.”

“Ah, well, that’s all right. I’ll just have to live with what I’ve got.” Which, for now, was still kind of up in the air. But no superhero origin story comes without its share of bumps in the road. “I was hoping you’d say that. And not just ‘cause you know where the store is, but...speaking of which, this way, right?” She asked, pointing to her left.

         “  BREATHE,  ALYA,  BREATHE  !   ”   god,  even if she had to  just  to help her best friend get this,  she’d  make sure  ladybug didn’t get any screentime unless it was alya.    “   you can even use my phone in the meantime if anything comes around.   ”   blue eyes peer at the screen,  head lilts to the side.    “   –  east  ?  towards the river,  according to this map.   ”

“girl, i am breathing.” technically. she’s not having a panic attack or anything, but mari’s concern is certainly warranted. alya smiles at her best friend with appreciation before directing her attention to said phone. “then what are we waiting for? let’s go!” alya quite literally drags marinette after her, even though she is not entirely sure which way is east. from her glance at the map, this way seems right.

“I don’t know… I could find one for you! Give one second.” Lena quickly replied before blinking out of focus with the other only to return in front of the other a second later. “One more second.” She added once again disappearing in a blue flash. “Oh yes! There is one on eighth street!” 

“Um...wow, cool trick. Mind teaching me how to do that?” She joked. “For real right now, you’re a life saver. I feel like I owe you a coffee or something. That is...if you’re willing to wait until after I replace my phone.” Maybe it sounded extreme to other people, but she never knew when a possible sighting might happen. She didn’t want to miss out on a big scoop because her stupid cell cam was broken for twenty minutes.

“Jesus-” Frank muttered under his breath as he collided with the girl. “Hell if I know. It’s just a phone.”

“Um, sir, you do not understand the severity of my situation. My phone is not only my lifeline, but integral to my career. And, you know, iPhones aren’t exactly the cheapest. It would be polite if you donated to my repair fund.”

      BLUE EYES ARE WIDE,  AND MARINETTE  is taken to the time in which she’s gotten into  …  too many  problems that revolve around cellphones.  it’s a bit of a relief  -  it meant chat and her could get a breather,  but  …  still,  she needs to be a supportive best friend  !     “   breathe,  alya   !   ”   she says,  whipping out her own phone and placing her hand on her friend’s shoulder.    “   this is big city america,  i’m sure there’s an apple store real close.   ”

alya bends over, putting her hands on her knees. putting your head between your legs was supposed to help you breathe, right? close enough. “half of my job as a blogger requires me to have a well functioning phone, marinette!” she straightens back up to watch her best friend. “hurry hurry hurry, which way do we go?!”

alya takes a sip from her coffee as she walks down the street, tilting her head a little too far back to see someone rounding a corner. the two of them collide and her phone slips from her hand, the sound of something cracking immediately sending her into a panic. she kneels down and grabs her phone, shrieking at the sight of her broken camera phone. “NO!! this is, seriously, the worst thing that could possibly happen.” now how would she take pics of ladybug?! “quick, where’s the nearest apple store?”
