This is why everyone should agree that Robin and Nancy are canon after the epilogue. We had scattered hints throughout the season, and none of them were accidental:
1. Robin dedicates Pretty in Pink to Vickie, but then we have Nancy dressed in pink for almost the entire season.
2. Robin has a thing for the candy stripes uniform, and right after that, Nancy shows up wearing it.
3. Robin always sits next to Nancy, even when her actual girlfriend is in the room.
4. Jonathan and Nancy broke up. I know some people still say they didn’t, but they did.
5. “Space to be with someone else?” And Nancy never denied it. She just clarified that it’s not Steve.
6. Nancy’s expression during Will’s coming out — maybe she was realizing a few things too?
7. The looks they gave each other when Nancy decided to be the bait in the abyss.
8. The fact that they both live in Massachusetts. Robin could’ve picked any college in the U.S., yet she chose one in the same state as Nancy.
9. Nancy’s new haircut and style. It’s true that people grow and change, especially after a traumatic event, but remember the whole season is based on the idea that coincidences don’t exist.
10. The only genuine smiles Nancy has in the first episodes are all directed at Robin.
11. "How are the babes at Emerson?" needs no explanation.
12. The way they smile at each other, the way they look at each other throughout the season, especially in the epilogue. I don’t know about you, but I’ve never looked at my friends like that.
13. Natalia has said in multiple interviews that Nancy wants to try new things.
14. Maya said she tried to convince the Duffer brothers to give Robin a certain storyline but failed. The options were Robin’s death or Ronance canon. We know now the first one is what she couldn’t get.
