Hey everyone! I’m trying to raise funds for my Service dog Betty who will support me everywhere i go. I just want to be able to live a normal-ish day to day life again and Betty will be a huge help to let me deal with my struggles. What if I keep waiting for a call or a text or a sign from God that never comes? What if you were the one, but I wasn’t?

Depression

I want to talk about depression.

Even though it’s a subject that gets talked about a lot, I feel like not enough people understand what is going on in someone’s head who is depressed.

There are days when that person doesn’t want to get out of bed, not even for work. And their anxiety would get the better of them as well. What if they did get out of bed? They’d be faced with endless questions of people asking them if they’re okay, what’s wrong with them, like it’s so easy to explain but it isn’t. And they act fine. They live their life acting like they’re fine, but they’re not. But they don’t know another way through it. What makes it worse, is when people try and force you to get out of bed, like you can, like it won’t make you feel worse about everything. Because at the end of the day, they’re forcing you to get better. It’s like no. Stop. Just give me time. Maybe we all need that time to hide for the day. To gather our thoughts so that when we’re ready, we’ll just face it head on the next day. When we’re ready.

As for the people asking if we’re okay, we’re not. Because every day with depression, it feels like the walls are closing in on us and our body is shutting down on us, and our thoughts are clouding our heads giving into the demons that bury themselves deep inside us.

Don’t try and force us to get better, just let us heal ourselves and try and be there for us without pushing, we’ll get better and over this as much as we can, all you have to do is be there, and make sure you stay.
