An analysis on the HanaNene kiss~

I love the clear parallel of anger and frustration that both Hanako and Nene feel—Hanako is angry that, once again, his plans to save Nene have failed.

Whilst Nene, once again, is angry at Hanako for doing things without telling her again—doing things *for* her and she hates that—she *wants* to be involved and know what he’s planning—

And even though they’re both angry at each other—Hanako slowly realizes that Nene’s anger is actually sadness—sad that it was almost goodbye—sad that she could have lost someone.

Which is something Hanako probably never expected—that someone would care *this* much for him—to sob on his chest and hug him tightly.

And what Hanako explains here ^^^ is that he recognizes he’s done/doing unredeemable acts—but he’s already a murderer and can’t go anywhere since he’s dead—he didn’t care if he sacrificed himself to save Nene—he was willing to do whatever it takes to save her—even if it means she will hate him, because that’s how much he loves her.

He loves her so much that he had to be the *one* who gives Nene life—because that is how he wanted to show his love…save the girl he loves whilst sacrificing his own happiness.

And we realize that Hanako is truly just a 13 year boy after all, a boy in love.

And despite it all—despite all his efforts to save Nene and sacrifice himself—he’s back to square one, back to being with just Nene—and we see his resolve completely shatter. That even though he intended to never see Nene again—here she was—and he’s happy—because he’s a boy at heart. Because he gets another chance to see the girl he loves—and he doesn’t even understand the feelings himself because it’s just so foreign to him.

And slowly and carefully he tenderly cups her cheek and pulls against his chest, burying his face against her shoulder—because she’s here—she’s real—and he can finally hold the girl he’s been so desperately in love with—and takes her hand so gently—

And tangles his fingers in her hair as he waits for Nene to give silent confirmation that this is okay—that she truly does feel this way for him—

And they both give in to their feelings—because there’s no more denying it—what they’ve been through—what led them here—it was love.

Always love.

Hello all!! It’s been a little over a year since we’ve last seen each other… About the same amount of time it took for Hanako and Nene to reunite in the manga! So in honor of that, let’s get HanaNene Week 2022 started! Here is the official prompt list for the week (February 7th - 14th)!

This is my top 5 couples in TBHK:

1. Hananene or Amanene (my hole life depends on them)

2. Tsukanene (need more interactions 😭)

3. Mitsukou (the gays being “““friends””””)

4. Akaneaoi (i like them….but it’s kind of toxic)

5. Hanakou (….no comments just them)

Next chapters predictions:

Yashiro will run out of the Minamotos house saying her mother told her to be there now, but actually she has to plan on how to save Hanako

Kou will be against his brothers plan and he’ll try to save Hanako with Yashiro, or he’ll accept his brother is right and let him exorcism while they distract Yashiro

Same thing from Kou with Akane. He could be against him since he promised Yashiro they’ll team up and find both Aoi and Hanako, or he could betray her and help Teru to kill Hanako

Yashiro could act up as she didn’t hear anything and help them but once they arrive at the boundary, she’ll get Aoi and run after Hanako to help him

Yashiro could ask Tsukasa (from the brodcast club) for help, but the chances of him accepting are low since they are nemesis (Hanako and Tsukasa) and he probably like the idea of his brother getting killed

The chances of Teru being able to exorcism him are low. Remember the School Mystery has more power if they are in their boudnary, which will mean Hanako would have a lot of power there and Teru won’t be able to get him. (After all he is the strongest apparition and the leader of the seven wonders). Also it could be that Kou will take his “seal” out and that will make him more stronger like he once was

What if Yashiro will have the same fate as Tsukasa from the Red House? He told her they had a lot in common and it’s becoming more accurate in this chapters….

Will Yashiro sacrifice so Hanako doesn’t get exorcised?

or

She will ask Tsukasa for help and that will lead her to die in exchange of a wish? Remember he only guarantees the wishes of the dead ones

Unfortunately, the point is: her fate is to die so there is no chance for her to come back alive after she crosses the boundary. Once they get Aoi out of there, Yashiro life span will be short like the beginning…

but there is a way of her to stay in the mortal world by becoming a school mystery or an apparition just like Hanako or Tsukasa

There is also a chance Kou will choose to be the sacrifice and die instead of Yashiro, but still no reasonable since he told Mitsuba from Red House that he won’t do that because that’s not what he would wanted

And last but not least, Yashiro may ask Hanako for another wish, but the chances of him wanting to guarantee that are so low, i doubt he will even think about it since after all he wants her to live and be happy. Ofc there is no trouble with making a wish, Yashiro made more than 1 and he gave them all to her
