The cafeteria was always noisy with the hustle and bustle of hungry students, it was easy to get a headache if you weren’t careful with your seating choice. Most of the students stuck together in groups, taking over tables and chatting away. Who could blame them, really, the tables were big enough. But Alice would have been an intruder at any of them.
Instead, the blonde had settled herself outside, making the most of the sunshine and nestling down at one of the empty picnic benches. Though the problem with sitting outside was that she would find herself mindlessly eating her lunch as she stared up at the clouds. It made the teen look almost sad. When she was alone it was much more obvious that she wasn’t as put together as she pretended.
Munching away at her sandwich, staring at the sky, expression flat but eyes sad. Sometimes she dreamed of being in the clouds, of being just that little farther from everything that troubled her.
