Some ASOIAF dragons! I actually sketched out almost all of the dragons, but I was itching to render, so I ended up painting some of my faves.

I think dragons was the first thing I started drawing as a kid. It was very therapeutic to get lost in rendering some scales. Might do the rest later. Bonus family tree to explain some of the visual similarities because I will die on the hill that Dreamfyre's three missing eggs are the eggs in AGOT;

I’ve been trying to draw a dragon with black scales but it’s really hard to draw very dark things because the contours disappear. The human eye is better at taking in subtle variations of color than a camera, meaning it can be very difficult to see the dimensions of a dark object.

Humans must be just REPULSIVE from the Eridian point of view. Erid has a dense and very hot atmosphere (210°C) and Eridians are all steam powered stony crab things which have limited orifices and a closed water system. By comparison humans are bouncy bags of lukewarm meat constantly jiggling drinking and leaking. Really an acquired taste

Spring flowers from my area (galanthus, scilla, tussilago, hepatica). Endlessly fascinated by how so many species of flower can be crammed into one plot of dirt, taking turns all year long on who gets to go next.
