((From the Cards Against Humanity starters - to any of your beautifully written muses from Wash)) "I drink to forget alcoholism."
Alex took in a deep breath. “That is some dark shit.”
George watched him curiously, staring for longer than intended. “Why would they forget?” he asked and propped his chin up on his palm, elbow on the bar top. “I don’t believe you’re very forgettable.”
“I don’t know. I think I’m the type of person people want to forget.” He took a good chug to punctuate. “I’m pretty annoying.”
George set his glass down and scooted closer, wrapping an arm around the younger man in an awkwardly positioned hug. He wasn’t sure if it was sympathy or the buzz, but the statement had made his heart sink. “I don’t think I could ever forget you, Alexander.”
“I would hope not, Sir,” He said after a moment, avoiding the other’s gaze. “I spend a lot of time with you, after all.”
A sigh left George’s lips as he tried to think of a response. “You do,” he agreed. He tilted his head and hummed. “I know I don’t ask often enough, but are you alright?”
“Most of the time I’m just fine— but things do tend to weigh on you after a while, you know.” He shrugged as though it was nothing.
