âDâyou want a pun?,â she wondered. âIâve got plenty up my sleeve, and they always make me feel a tinge better. Laughter being the best medicine is bullshit, of course, but it helps.â
âIf it will make you feel better then Iâd love to hear one.â Daisy was still having trouble processing everything that had happened. The best way to cope with that for her was trying to help everyone around her.

âDais, I thought youâd NEVER ask,â he said, jumping up and taking her hand. âLetâs show these fools what weâve got.â James grinned, move over to a clearer space. âIâm a racing car passing by like Lady Godiva!!!!â
This was one of her favorite things about James. He was easy to be around. It was laughter and smiles and a good time. She didnât hesitate to follow him. Her fingers entwined with his and she was bouncing on the balls of her feet. âIâm gonna go, go, go!!â Daisy had never been an amazing dancer, but she could hold her own. She had great musicality and confidence. âThereâs no stopping me!!â
grctacatchlcve:
âIâm preeeeeeetty sure that isnât pumpkin juice. It tastes like pumpkin juice with a hell of a kick in it⊠But whatever it is, itâs good, and Iâll have another.â
âIt is pumpkin juice, but thatâs not the only ingredient.â Daisy had just got herself a cup, but she handed it over when Greta asked for another. She could get a new cup for herself in a little bit. âI must admit that I donât remember what they said was in it.â
jamesppotter:
âOh FUCK yes, this song,â said James, grasping at his heart, a wide grin on his lips. âHonestly Freddie Mercury could kill me, and Iâd thank him, you know? That manâs voice, itâs just ⊠amazing, honestly. And those chord progressions? Iconic.â
Daisy laughed and shook her head at his dramatics. âThe appropriate way to appreciate him is to sing along and fully enjoy the song.â She reached out to take his hands in her own. âWhat do you say? Come sing and dance with me Jay.â
torinblake:
âOh come on, itâs a party, come and dance with me!â Torin encouraged, reaching a hand out to touch their arm softly and getting closer. âPretty please?â He asked, smiling at them. âItâs so boring with no one to dance with.â It was clear that he was drunk, he didnât usually ask others to dance, he usually did his own thing at parties.
Daisy had to look around to make sure he was talking to her. Despite it being clear there was no one else he could be addressing she still had to ask. âAre you asking me to dance?â Once she was sure it wasnât a mistake, or a joke, she nodded and took hold of his hand. A smile overtook her features. âAlright.â
glvnda:
âDo you think itâs TOO late to switch houses?,â wondered Glenda as she chewed on a small piece of one of the many muffins in front of her, her fingers playing with the wrapper before she tore off another bite. âI want to be a damn Hufflepuff, share my common room with the people in charge of this food, âcause itâs fucking amazing, man.âÂ
âIâve never heard of it being allowed, but I donât see the point. Weâre a friendly lot. I donât think anyone would object to you spending more time in our common room.â Daisy was always happy to have more people around and sharing had never been a problem for her. âMaybe we could take a vote and call you an honorary Hufflepuff if youâd like.â
rcsemery:
âNow just listen, liiiiiisten, okay? Iâm not sure how juice works over here in Scotland but Iâm fairly certain that these elves makin the stuff- it is elves makinâ it, isnât it? Not the point-â Rosemary cut herself and stared down into the deep purple juice lapping at the edge of her glass. A girl who felt like her hands burned when she even held a bottle of alcohol couldnât possibly know that her punch was spiked. The most logical explanation was magic, which still felt vastly unfamiliar to her. âMy point Iâm tryinâ to make here, is that this wasnât made with magic was it? I have a long runninâ promise with myself against using drugs or magic to- ahem, enhance how Iâm feelin.â
âThey may have used magic to stir it, or keep it cold, but I donât think there is magic in it. I donât know what kind of potion one would put in a drink. The alcohol is usually fine on itâs own.â Daisy hoped she hadnât misunderstood. A sip was taken from her own cup. It was a little strong for her taste, but that wouldnât matter much later into the evening. âItâs the food you have to be careful around if youâre worried about drugs.â

They called her naive for believing in the good in people. But she was just a loving soul, who thought that even monsters needed someone, who truly believed, they were angels once and they can be it again. And yes, maybe that was naive, but this world needed people like her.

âListen, Hestia did a hell of a job on this photo-booth so Iâm not taking no for an answer.â Frank plopped down in the seat and held the curtain open for the other person. âCâmon. Strike a pose. Smile? Whatever just come take a few with me.âThough I call funny faces for the first picture!â
Daisy preferred to be behind the camera, but she always had a hard time telling people no. A reluctant smile and a nod of agreement were offered up as she climbed in the booth with Frank. She scrunched up her nose and stuck out her tongue as the flash went off to signal the first photo had been taken. âNow what?â
sevsnapee:
Good. Daisy was making more an effort than the other students he was tutoring, and it was definitely going to help make it a bit easier when everyone involved was willing to try and learn from each other. It was the optimistic side of him trying to bleed through his emotions, but he forbade it from showing in his expression. âGood to hear,â he replied with a nod, âSo, since the Shrinking Solution can be poisonous if brewed incorrectly, so one must always be careful when brewing this specific potion. Most potions, however, are deadly when brewed incorrectly so keep that in mind for all potions you make.â As Severus spoke, he began to prepare the cauldron, something that he should have probably already done as he waited. Ensuring that the fire underneath the cauldron was how he wanted and how it should be, he then turned to the âShrinking Solutionâ page in his potions textbook. âWhich you rather do: I let you do the potion yourself and I intervene when needed or we both make it together? Which do you think would help you more?â
Daisy watched as he prepped the cauldron and nodded along as he spoke. She knew potions were serious. It was why she wanted him to help her get it right. Her fingers tapped lightly on the table, a nervous habit. It wasnât Severus that made her nervous, but rather the potion. She didnât want to screw up. All it would take was one clumsy move to knock the wrong ingredient into the cauldron, and there could be disastrous consequences. She also didnât want to disappoint Severus. He was taking the time to teach her so the least she could do is learn and be careful. âI should try it on my own, but Iâm too worried Iâll make a mistake. Iâd feel more comfortable if we made it together.â

â itâs COMPLETELY safe right now, thereâs nothing to be afraid of, â he says, turning around to look at his companion with a grin.  â iâve been here during the night a few times, & iâm not dead, am i ? â
âRight, but weâre really not supposed to be here. Are you sure itâs okay?â Daisy was still processing exactly what Sirius had talked her into joining. It couldnât be safe despite what he insisted.
