Add onto this the constant feeling of being overwhelmed. You didn’t get the laundry done yesterday and now there are piles of it. You forgot to take out the chicken so now you’re trying to throw something together for dinner at 9 pm. You forgot to order your prescription and now it’s the weekend so you’re going to go without for 2 days. There are dishes in the sink. You forgot to plug in the vacuum so now you can’t even clean the floor. There are hobbies you can’t do because you’ve convinced yourself you aren’t allowed to experience fun until the work is finished. Slowly, it all builds and you are left sitting there with so much to do and the inability to organize tasks leaves you paralyzed and lost amid everything! Honestly, you fucking break down crying because you feel like an incomplete person incapable of caring for themselves.

This is a very familiar feeling. Realizing (finally!) that these are ADHD symptoms unexpectedly helped a lot, and I learned to deal with them to some extend… striving to do this last dish in the sink, put things where thy belong, etc. Next week project - massive decluttering, which should help with the mess.

Hi y’all this is Comet, my childhood cat who currently lives with my mom and sister. Comet is almost 14 years old and has had diabetes for a few years. After the holiday at my place and noticing consistent blood in his urine, my mom took him to the vet. The doctors said he is dehydrated with a high blood sugar of over 600 after having it steady at 400 in recent months (normal ranges is 80-120 with 600 being on the highest end for diabetic cats). My mom now has to take him to the animal hospital for AT LEAST 24 hours for a glucose curve test.

I talk shit about the old man but we love him and his poopoo paws dearly. If y’all can boost and donate for vet bills (the testing alone would be $200 not counting the stay in the hospital and additional expenses). We lost our other childhood cat Nova prematurely (cancer) in 2019 and Comet still got so much life in him.

Comet update

The bill is 220 and the vet wants to get him an ultrasound to see why he’s insulin isn’t working. The ultrasound will be around 500 but my mom is going to shop around to see if another place can do it for cheaper. He gained like three pounds in two weeks which is ALOT for a cat, so that worries me personally but my mom says he’s in good spirits. He has so much life left and income shouldn’t be a barrier for pet care. Please keep boosting. Also more pictures (the one in the vest is my all time favorite of him and the second is from Christmas 2019).

In class we were talking about how cats teach themselves to hunt around their collar bells, and this dude followed that up with “well you know how Santa has those reindeer covered in those bells, right?” 

and what he going for was “the bells on cat collars are the same that reindeer are pictured wearing”

But what *I* heard was “Santa’s Reindeer are predator animals that are covered in bells for our protection” and let me tell you I did not appreciate that.
