Headcanon Free-For-All!
Once again, I'm bored. Send me a fandom and a specific character and Iāll try to come up with a headcanon for them! Please say so if you want something silly or something serious.

Couple of baby triple changers I made for @chancetimespace
Do you think they ever had āReading to the Enginesā events in partnership with libraries and schools, like how some animal shelters have events where kids can read to dogs and cats to help socialize them? I imagine Edward would be very popular during the event, if they do it with standard gauge engines, but realistically they probably have the events with narrow gauge or minimum gauge engines.
Youād think Duncan wouldnāt do well, but heās actually great with the kids, getting frustrated WITH the kids, not AT them. He affirms their frustration, and reminds them that itās okay to be angry, albeit in his own way.
Millie is great with kids that know how to read in one language but are learning how to read in another language.
Feel free to request other characters, or add your own ideas!
Also, shoutout to @mwolf0epsilon for her description of mimic Edward helping at these events in their Railway Mimic Au, in the linked post!

Heyo! Relating to that pinned post of yours, could you cook up some hcs about Toby and Henrietta? Maybe some Spencer on the side too. š (Also up to you if they'd be silly or serious)
Excellent choices!
Henrietta ācaughtā the bouquet at a wedding once! The wind kicked up when it was tossed and it ended up getting caught in the fence in front of her face. The groom gave Toby one of the flowers from a centerpiece and some floral wire so his crew could attach it to him for the day.
Tobyās crew will occasionally sneak some pepper or herbs into his firebox with his coal as a treat, because he likes how it makes the coal taste. Henrietta likes the smell of rosemary and sage better than pepper, but sheās just glad Toby enjoys the experience.
Spencer actually envies Toby a little bit, because Spencer and his coaches arenāt nearly as close as Toby and Henrietta are. Itās not that they hate him or anything, they appreciate that Spencer usually pulls them smoothly, but they are frustrated with some of his stunts and that he doesnāt thank them at the end of the day. Also, Spencer tried peppered coal once and threw a fit when he didnāt like it.
That was the intention, Iām glad someone noticed!
pride month!!!
Is that a miette?
Pride for you!Ā Pride for a thousand years!!
you COME OUT to miette? you come out to her as queer? oh! oh! pride for mother! pride for mother for One Thousand Years!!!!
Tjoughts on vertical boilers? Theyre my favorite!!!
Also thoughts on TheBuriedTruck's Ethel and the TKELR?
I think vertical boiler engines are fascinating, and I would be happy to hear about your favorite ones. I donāt know much about the TKELR, but I like what Iāve seen about Ethel!
I can definitely see one of the workmen trying to sneak Ethel some tea when no one was paying attention. She was very confused why her steam tasted different that day, but no harm was done besides her steam smelling like Earl Grey for a little while.
In the evenings, while Ethel would rest, there were a few local dogs that would rest near her. Her whistle was a bit too loud for them, but they liked her voice when she would tell them about her day, and she liked watching them play.
One of the descendants of those dogs would later visit Glynn while he was being hidden. She later was adopted by Sir Robert Norramby, after he noticed she had followed Glynn to the castle.
Sprites for @chancetimespace
Their Oc, Ralph! Thanks for the request and your patience! Enjoy
Thank you so much!

Alright, thought it was time to revive this blog a bit after.. an unofficial short hiatus that happened against my will I fear. Here's a piece of how Mallard looks in my AU, TCLRAU!
Yet again, this is another experimental piece of mine since, well, I'm still getting a hold of my designs being translated into drawn-form like this (read: ITS TORTUOUS TRANSLATING GL2 DESIGNS INTO DRAWINGS AS AN ARTIST WHO PICKED UP DRAWING ONLY A YEAR AGO /lh), but hey, I push through and through!
Also, almost forgot to mention- I finished this on Christmas Eveā and from what I estimate, it'll be my last art piece of 2025.

Hello! Since you mentioned it when we were chatting, I have to ask as a fellow Salmon Trout stan-
What's your headcanon for Salmon Trout?
He and Prince Palatine are/were very close, which is why Prince was the first to figure out that he wanted a new name. He would later acquire a new name at a signal after a silly mixup during his escape to Sodor. Heās an anxious lad, while Prince Palatine is more of a dreamer, so they help balance each other out. Due to a certain tragic event, he doesnāt like Flying Scotsman very much. Heās neutral towards Gordon though.

I can decide that broken engines arenāt just ālittle things.ā
These two have a surprising amount in common in the movies where they serve as primary antagonists. Both tried to kill (or at least severely maim) an in-universe historical figure who hadnāt wronged them in any way (Hiro and Santa Claus).
Both have their main color schemes associated with aristocracy (silver and purple).
Look at those faces and just TRY to tell me you donāt see at least SOME resemblance!
Narcissism ahoy! (Note: narcissism itself does not make anyone automatically evil. I am not having a debate about this on my blog. It is a trait that both seem to show signs of though.)
Both got surprisingly light punishments (having to sit in a marsh until the engine he tried to have scrapped is repaired so they can actually get him out of said marsh and house chores for 1,000 years).
Would anyone actually be interested if I pointed out some parallels I noticed between Spencer and a specific character from a Christmas movie that aired maybe once and never again?
Witness Your Eyes Lookin
@chancetimespace and @lorainedoesthings since you two made these requests for A3s that happened to be close together:
An idea formed in my brain to link them together. Salmon Trout, even through the veil of the afterlife, has followed their brother and their parts all the way to the U.S. and comforts him in his loneliness.
I also listened to Adrianne Lenker on repeat
Hope you enjoy!
