I am Amazed. This blog is going to serve for expression of this amazement which is mostly caused by various works of art. Myself I am a dancer, roleplayer and cook in this particular order, having attempts on other arts too, You may therefore expect works of my own to appear in here as well.

I am planning to set off with weekly improvisation uploads so wish me luck! In the beginning there will be more bad framing and poor set-up and quality than appropriate, but bear with me! The Neverend continues, and as I’m giving the final touches editing the material from spring I find myself remembering that I still haven’t posted after the recording which took place... good two months ago. Many thanks for lovely Simona who embodied the spirit of spring, commited until the end of an exhausting day at Glen Lui. Anna’s footage is a special pleasure to work with especially when combining with the soundtrack which is finally featuring Nólanis’ enchanting voice. Having halfway milestone soon to be reached we are ready for the next recording in early October. Its vast delay was caused by a major weather let-down in a critical period. Making plans for the last part I am estimating that the posibility of the project conclusion before Christmas is within reach. The summonings continue,  the Neverend answers.

Many inspirations. Okay, Asari are the most interesting race I encountered ever. I hastily placed it above twi’lek. Only later have I thought of twi’leks superiority in the matter of representation of males in the domain of sensitivity and grace. (I should rather say inclusion than representation...) Male Twi’leks > Asari > Female Twi’leks (I couldn’t possibly imagine where should I place elves in fact~ O7Z) For reference I haven’t met Liara yet. And here comes in a dilemma I don’t think my Shepherd is half as interested in Asari as I am. T_T Faithfulness to roleplay or following my interest. Maybe I WILL need to play the game twice after all? Journey to the dark heart of the Edgewood Home for Lost Children in this fiendishly difficult action RPG! When her teacher stepped out of the classroom a month ago, Cordy never imagined he would be gone for good. Now her fellow students have turned on each other as the school descends into chaos.

Tonight I’d like to type a few words about this somewhat obscure indi game. \o/ To throw a comparable title that would ring a bell I would need to say ‘Binding of Isaac” And while maintaining the general format and dark atmosphere it’s not just a copy. Predominantly the playstyle is different. It is much more of a bullet hell, with more nimble controls and more managable hitbox. You will need to learn the flow of the game, but as you do there are some unlockables to help you climb higher and higher through the ominous orphanage. With each game you unlock new lessons which you may select to gain power-ups in future runs. Another important feature is more choice. There is leveling system which allows you to chose perks in each playthrough to suit your playstyle and/or make combos with the few from the multitudes of items that you have found. But also after each level you have a choice into what kind of a stage to ascend making relevant trade-off’s. It may take a while before you exactly know how is cafeteria different from dorms, how are various tribes of enemies different from each other and how do special conditions on the floors work, but you may deduce much from the neat descriptions. Speaking about this, there is a lot of discription and story behind the game world and I find it interesting to read every item description and piece of lore that you find along, immersing in the creepy mood of the Edgewood School. In itself the atmosphere does not exactly resemble this known from the Binding of Issac. There isn't much gross, gore or sacrum/profanum breaking elements, I’d say that it is more similar to the American McGee’s Alice or maybe even Series of Unfortunate Events. Quite subtle, yet haunting. The main down-side of the game is graphics somewhat missing clarity. You will need to learn the hitboxes, and the borders of objects/enemies are sometimes sketchy. Another thing which some bullet hells struggle with: clarity of difference between friendly and enemy bullets. White versus light-blue color-coding is not much use if the screen gets cluttered. I plaied the game to see more the half of the unlockables by now, and I would certainly recommend it especially if the genre sounds interesting to you. I have recently unlocked the reward for reaching and Beating the Administration, and I must say it was quite worth it~! Although I will apparently need to practice the gameplay anew~ ^^;

The inspiration spanned a choreography. Still major dissatisfaction with nuances of technique v_v maybe working out thorough warm-up will help me. For now I just enjoy myself ^^;

And so the production of "Neverend" has finally started. The project is a dance video portraying the four seasons of Scottish nature. I undertook it in collaboration with Anna.photos - co-director and videographer and had the pleasure of Nólanis joining our crew as the composer and gaelic linguist. I'm also excited to involve more artists in specific seasons. As of present on Friday we recorded the winter material while on a lovely trip at Braemar. We caught the literally last snow there. With help of Aleksandra's winter personification we spiced up the raw beauty of the Highlands with the special ingredient of our movements. We set off for the journey through Neverend, the summonings have begun.

I may have a mixed opinion on Microsoft, but one thing the sure did right was investing in Team Dakota. Project Spark is highly inspiring and flexible game-creating tool with encouraging learning curve. For me personally it's one of (if not just the) best media to unleash my creativity. I'm planning to share my first creation "the First Hunt" sometimes next week. How are YOU going to deal with the goblin tribe?

It seems Disciples III: Renaissance takes over as the most beautiful game I've ever seen. Funnily enough any other aspect than art (and music with it) is rather underwhelming. I decided to skip other campaigns and go straight into the story of the elves in case I don't have patience for the whole game. It seems that was the right decision to make. (just look at the unicorn OvQ)

Don't take me wrong the gameplay is totally alike Disciples II, which I remember mostly as entertaining but heavy times. If the aim of the release was to make graphically remade continuation of the same game, then fine that much was achieved. But it doesn't seem to be a recipe for a popular sequel. On the other hand: what is? Heroes of Might and Magic series was mostly forgotten, and it was gameplay that was majorly innovated through the sequels. I suppose that no sequel would meet needs of both the conservative fans and those open for changes.

And while I'm at it, why not, I should to mention one of the highlights of the Dance Live Festival in my perception: namely performance of KaSt a young dance company, featuring "One Night" - a most engaging and beautiful work.

Riiight~! So, remember the project I mentioned half a year ago? As a matter of fact it was screened in a cinema during the Dance Live festival (the one I brought up in the previous post). The full version (albeit poor quality) was also uploaded on youtube. Enjoy nontheless~!

Yes. I haven't posted anything for a while. I haven't had internet for a month at first, and then I was just lazy. Much happened in meantime including a great dance festival here in Aberdeen but first it's going to be about a game. I wouldn't be myself otherwise ~ My two friends are recently infatuated with their miniatures. Partly because of this I got to create my own hero for a roleplay-story-driven campaign. I must say I found the whole business much more engaging than I expected, certainly partly because of my friend being a devil of a (hi)story-plotter. It was my first solid contact with Warhammer 40k and I must admit that the setting is rather inspiring. In the pictures you can see Mandala my Dark Eldar Heroine. Now she isn't quite another Drizzt Do'Urden, although as a matter of fact she is an loner outcast of Commorragh, finding her brethren vile and repugnant~ Well, I'm making effort to shape her character in an viable way to present a perspective of someone who survived amongst Dark Eldar even if not in an agreement with their lifestyle. Mandala may not approve of killing or torturing as a leisure pursuit, she refrains from slavery and above all she denies sacrifices from souls of others to uphold her own. However, she is not extending to efforts of living of an honest life either. With more or less hesitation she would refer to assault, abduction, thievery and possibly murder and other crimes to sustain her craft and well-being. (For that matter she is an outstanding engineer, ever-enhancing her fearsome revolver.) Will such a person be able to find her place amongst Exodites as an Outcast? That I am about to discover.

A week ago I played this wonderful storytelling/roleplaying game with two friends. Although it seems simple with its minimalistic rules, it's surprisingly engaging. Equal share of power over the course of the story helps to draw the very best out of the players creativity. The premise of keeping the beginning and end known, but rather unraveling the middle of the story with its details works far better than I expected. If you're interested in plotting improvised stories with your friends like I am, Microscope is a must-have-a-go.

Specially for Quarval I've been working on some soundtrack for her awesome webcomics Reaperless and here are the effects. DSi being the hub of my creativity again shhhh. On the side note, since now they released Rytmik: World Music in Europe I have to get some credit again. And I hoped that with Petit Computer and Art Academy I bought all the interesting DSiWare that would ever be available to me.

I finally have this book. It did not even take an hour to read it, but it's full of insightful advice on how to manage own creativity and life. I'm glad I picked it up, and now I'll have my friends read it. It was a spot-on recommendation from a polish vlogger Lis of Lisie Piekło channel on youtube.
