I came across this lovely little doll whilst going through my Grandfather’s belongings. She is 6 inches in length, and I would date it circa 1940’s when my Grandfather served in the war. Label under her smock show Made in Soviet Union by Mascha. She does show sign of her age- her skirt is faded, there are aged marks on her hands, smock and bloomers. She is however,quite delightful.

Vintage Barbie 1972 Satin 'n Shine #3493 - Regular & Variartion

Almost all of the boxed fashions from 1972 (I'm excluding the Best Buys here) had variations, and 'Satin 'n Shine' was no exception. The regular version had the diamond lace with irridescent threads, whilst the harder-to-find variation had a white floral lace. I've included a photo of a mint example of the variation that I have in my collection - this and the doll modelling it are not for sale. I took the outfit out of the box myself and the box was labelled 'Satin 'n Shine'.

2 of the 4 shoes have the splits that this style is prone to.

Missing are the bouquets, which were a large, solitary fabric "flower" on a stem.

Vintage rare 2 nd issue sindy horse ( ref 12SA4) 1966 chestnut peanuts with tack

An exceptional rare find Vintage sindy horse peanuts , chestnut painted eye horse , 2nd edition and hard to find. It’s a beautiful dark chestnut horse with fine tail and thick mane , neck slightly arched and one hoof pointed as if he was about to walk forward . His eyes are painted , the tack is made from rubber and doesn’t usually survive , but it has here and is in very good condition , it hasn’t reacted to the horse , but some minor colour loss underneath some of the bridle . The tack hasn’t melted into the horse ( which is sometimes a problem) the ribbon is present but missing it’s little sticker . The mane is held in by a slot at top of horse neck , this means the mane can move down the neck . Some minor tarnishing to the stirrups There a few minor scuffs to the horse , nothing drastic and I am being very picky in pointing out these flaws , the horse is rare and very hard to find with tack in place and in such good condition. The horse is not heavy and although has survived so far , he would not be robust enough for a child to play with This is an adults collectors horse , for display. Beautiful example of an early sindy horse
