So would you agree that Maxwell Sheffield is a Ton acceptable version of Phillip Crane?
Absolutely! Max just has the same himbo vibe as Phillip. I mean imagine this:
Okay, I wasn't totally on the geraskier train before season two but??? Jaskier??? My dude??? Literally the first things you do when Geralt comes to bust you out of jail are:
Hug him (which was so nice honestly, my eyes got a lil misty)
Immediately take him back when he gives you one (1) sad look and says "I need you"
Drag him straight to a river/lake/grotto to then strip half-naked in front of him to??? What? Show off? "Look geralt I have abs now!! I save elves and I'm soo cool look at me!"???? Bc like he... did not get his top half wet at ALL. Bro has dirt on his shoulders and just, doesn't bother actually cleaning himself up like he said he wanted to????
How am I NOT supposed to ship them now??
Other highlights that I am obsessed with:
Jaskier literally writing a whole-ass song about how torn up he is that Geralt dumped him-- and it's a BANGER
Yennefer INSTANTLY knows that it's about Geralt too like he is NOT subtle my dude
Jaskier's impression of Geralt that was honestly kinda spot on and the way it made Geralt smile and try not to laugh??
The way this ridiculous Bard tried his darn destiny to make Geralt jealous of "his new friends" (a few jail rats) honestly had me dying of laughter, I love this silly man
The noticeable change from Geralt's annoyed "I am trying to work so please for the love of God shut up" from season 1 to the fond "I lowkey missed your nonsense but I'm bad at verbalizing my feelings and it's familiar to just say shut up" of season 2
Geralt actually admitting he missed Jaskier and genuinely wanting him to come along, even though he has no real use on this quest; character growth at its finest
Jaskier's "like father like daughter" comment as soon as Ciri dismissively walks past him; I just think it's sweet that even though Geralt hasn't said it in so many words, Jaskier can already tell and accepts Ciri as just part of Geralt's family now
All the found family feels in general; I love them alright???

Thank you and I hope you have a great day!
Whoever came up with the plus-sized Lily Evans headcanon, I just wanna thank you. you're amazing.
I did a colour code.
So, the reds are characters I know for sure.
We have:
Violet
Kate
Anthony
Lady Danbury
Francesca
Hyacinth
Colin
Benedict
The yellows are the people I'm not sure about/just guessing. I think they might be:
Eloise
Gregory
Edwina
The green is just one guy, and I have no idea who he is, but I added him anyway, because three colours seems so much tidier than two. Hi, random extra!
Edit: Also not pictured: ANTHONY'S SIDEBURNS. Let's dwell on that for a minute.
It appears that they are at a horse race. 🤔
Random S2 thoughts #5:
As cringe inducing/awkward as it might be to watch, I think it’d be interesting if Daphne is the one to give Kate the “wedding night” talk, instead of Mary. Considering the thoroughly problematic/dubious transgression/SA Daphne committed against Simon in S1 (said transgression indubitably partially stemmed from Violet’s thoroughly-lacking ability to educate her daughters on the topic of sex.) Daphne giving her “the talk” seems somewhat fitting, especially considering it’s unlikely the Kathony wedding night script will follow TVWLM verbatim, (as they obviously gave Simon “I burn for you.”) Also, it’ll seem rather absurd to see SIMONE ASHLEYYYYY persistently and repeatedly deny her own beauty. I have a feeling Kate’s (causeless) conjured-image of his imagined “other woman” is likely going to be of Siena. Considering at the beginning of S1, Simon (who’s been noticeably/famously absent from society for YEARS) is somehow aware of Anthony and Siena’s affair, it stands to reason that by S2 gossip regarding the affair has permeated every corner of the ‘ton. Her knowledge of the affair seems likely even if Kate never sees/meets Siena (even if Siena isn’t the opera singer in the study.) Daphne is in the room during the scene in which Colin asks Eloise “have you ever been to a farm?” If she were the one to give Kate “the talk” it would be a droll and notable parallel to Kate’s comment regarding farms/livestock in TVWLM. I also hope that whenever Eloise and Francesca eventually get “the talk,” they’re provided with as accurate-as-possible information. (Since Violet is obviously inept at properly educating her daughters, it stands to reason that Daphne or Kate educate E & F. I just always disliked the idea that even after the destruction caused by Daphne’s lack of education, she didn’t feel it necessary to properly inform her younger sisters. According to book canon, E and F bribe a maid into telling them. I hope they’re given “the talk” before they feel it’s necessary to bribe staff into telling them.) Lastly, it would help to highlight that Daphne is aware she committed a malicious action towards her husband, and she’s trying to make sure that no one else is harmed by ignorance. I want to see Daphne apologize to Simon about the assault. I’ve always hated that both TDAI and S1 infer that she’s the victim of the situation.
On the topic of Siena: I am OBVIOUSLY a Kate x Anthony-shipper till the day I die. HOWEVER, if in S2 they gratuitously/superfluously villainize Siena or utilize the “Madonna–whore” and/or “not like other girls” complexes to compare Kate and Siena, I will (figuratively) pull my hair out. As characters, Kate and Siena exist as their own independent entities. Both women aren’t simply defined by the way in which they relate to Anthony. They are both autonomous beings, who’s existences aren’t simply predicated by their associations with Anthony. I’m so tired of seeing fictional and non-fictional female figures being needlessly pitted against each other, and/or dumbed down to simply serve as sexist archetypes.
I’d like to see Violet and B-H recognize the enormity of the responsibilities Anthony acquired at such a young age. Besides the formal responsibilities of his title, I’d like to see them acknowledge/appreciate the nurturing/paternal role he’s played/continues to play.
I hope we get to see the repairing and continuation of Simon and Anthony’s friendship. Considering both men (in obviously different manners) have struggled/struggle with loneliness, it would be nice to see them reconcile their differences and engage in clownish antics. (Also would love to see Edwina, Colin and Simon’s collaboration in getting Kathony together/forcing Kathony to face their idiocy.)
EDIT:
The glorification of S1 Eloise as some sort of “feminist hero” is inherently fallacious. Throughout S1, Eloise struggles with her own wants for self determination and autonomy being denied by the society she exists in. She’s a 17 year old girl who isn’t permitted to make her own decisions/way in the world. She wants to attain control of herself. And while her inability to make her own choices is a result of the patriarchal society she exists in, the strive/want of self determination/control is a sentiment experienced by ALL HUMANS. She isn’t a feminist hero because: her goal isn’t the societal promotion of all women, simply herself. She constantly belittles Daphne’s own goals/wants simply because they differ from her own. Seeing S1 Eloise constantly described as the show’s “feminist hero,” thoroughly annoys me, considering the amount of time she spends dismissing the promotion of other women, simply because what they want is different than what she wants. Intersectional feminism is built upon: the pursuit of social, political, personal and economic equality for all sexes. By demeaning Daphne’s interests, Eloise is complicit in patriarchal oppression. In S1 she displays behavior that could easily categorize her as a “not like other girls” character. I hope they change this in S2.
Random S2 thought #6
I’m curious as to how they’re going to portray the book-canon element of ABC’s respective rake statuses in S2. Especially Anthony. Siena is the only woman he’s shown to have been involved with in S1, and their relationship is obviously existent prior to S1. A (seemingly) monogamous, fairly lengthy relationship of a somewhat emotional nature isn't very ‘rakish’ of him. So either, he has to demonstrate his new rakish-ness at the beginning of S2, before the “a Rake knows he's dangerous to women” Whistledown is released, or the whole element is altered. And given he’s decided to throw himself into responsibility and duty, it seems unlikely that he’d start gallivanting and ‘irresponsibly’ fucking around. But if he isn’t a Rake, what reason does Kate have to dispute his courting of Edwina? Since it seems like tv-Edwina is much more set on a love match than book-Edwina (who was just casually vibing), maybe Kate’s dispute is that she doesn’t think a possible Edwina/Anthony match would result in love? Or maybe, the gossip surrounding the S1 Siena and Anthony affair makes Kate (incorrectly) believe that EARLY S2 Anthony is still In LoVe WitH SiEnA, and so she disputes the courtship because she doesn’t want Edwina to fall in love with/marry a man Kate (INCORRECTLY) believes to still be in love with someone else? Idk I’m perseverating.

sirius, remus & harry comfort recs
i’ve been pretty much neck-deep in the “raising harry” tag on ao3 for the past month or so because i’d been craving some comfort reads and this trope (au?) is guaranteed to provide just that. SO here’s a list of my favourite works in which harry is raised by – or, for some period of time, lives with – sirius and/or remus. some of these fics contain wolfstar, but a couple of them don’t!!
The Hole in the Ground series by sostrata (rated T, 18.6k)
Description: A series of fics about Sirius and Remus raising Harry in their home, The Hole in the Ground.
explores events in the lives of harry, sirius, and remus after october 1981. softness and fluff and family abound!
Till We Have Arrived Home Again by prouvairing / @seagreeneyes (rated E, 43.6k)
Description: Summer, 1999. Harry comes home with news. Quite a lot of news.
this fic is a bit like watching a sitcom and reading a modernist novel at once?? idk. i’ve read it twice since discovering it last month, i loved it so much. i appreciate how prouvairing presents us with a story that is so ripe with feeling; there is fear and heartbreak and post-war trauma, but there’s also hope and humour and joy and affection. my favourite part of this fic is towards the end, after harry finds his animagus form, where we get to see remus’s relationship with harry evolve as both a parent and a teacher/mentor, but we also observe the depth of remus’s love for his family. i’ll probably never tire of this story and these characters.
Dead Men Don’t Bleed series by orphan_account (multiple ratings, 45.8k)
Description: Harry’s life with the Dursleys has never been ideal. He’s learned to accept that. Sirius doesn’t think he should have to.
this series takes place post-GoF, after harry’s come back to live with the dursleys. sirius sees the extent of the abuse the dursleys have inflicted on harry and seeks a trial + acquittal to then have harry live under his care. the pain and anguish in this fic is almost overwhelming and the payoff is so fulfilling! there is so much emphasis on family here that i appreciate. i especially love one of the sequels, Blindly Forward – it’s set during OotP and deals with sirius’s reaction to harry’s injuries post-umbridge detention. the author really captures the tenderness of sirius and harry’s relationship so wonderfully.
Thicker Than Blood by orphan_account (rated T, 3.1k)
Description: Teddy’s birth leaves Harry wondering if his godfather would prefer a proper family and, more importantly, a son of his own.
harry’s insecurities about being/not being a “proper” son to sirius troubles him, and sirius notices and confronts him about it. truthfully, these interactions are exactly what i look for in “sirius raising harry” fics so i ate this right up. this author writes emotional hurt/comfort so well.
Hogwarts Prep School series by @katialenawrites (rated T, 29.6k)
Description: Harry is rescued from the Dursleys to be raised by Remus and Sirius. These are the New Harry Potter Chronicles. this is a non-magical AU – a series of fics written in social media/texting format, following harry’s journey out of the dursleys’ home and into the care of sirius and remus. i really enjoyed this – not just harry’s immediate interactions with his guardians and friends, but discovering how loved he is by his friends and family through their texts and emails with each other, with his case worker, etc.
The Look of Love by Chromat1cs (rated T, 3k)
Description: The flat is too small for Christmas with four. It should be three, really, and Harry only counts as one half of a full person at this size but for his high-chair and—yes, there are four of them. Remus counts himself terribly lucky that his mother has an extra few seats at her table. this fic is written in remus’s perspective and set during christmas, after the deaths of lily and james. remus reflects on his “cobbled-together” family and just loves. i’m enthralled by the descriptiveness of this; it’s one of those stories that takes you away with nostalgia and warmth.
Caesura by @impishtubist (rated M, 13.2k)
Description: The summer after Harry’s fourth year, Remus has to deal with a grieving child, a looming war, and unresolved feelings for the man he thought he’d lost fourteen years ago. i adore this story! i hinted earlier that i love moments of closeness between remus and harry, and this fic delivers that and more. remus has to grapple with simultaneous attraction he feels after sirius’s return, as well as jealousy about his place as harry’s parent when he observes harry’s excitement over sirius. this fic made me love remus lupin even more than i already did; it’s such a uniquely wonderful feeling to be inside his head. (also can we talk about harry calling remus “da” because that… ended me) also by this author are Lacuna, Dissonance, and Nocturne, and i can’t recommend any of these grimmauld-place-era fics enough! they’re all incredibly heartwarming fics about harry receiving comfort from sirius and remus; i revisit them often.
disguised as something else by aloneintherain / @captainkirkk (rated T, 3.1k)
Description: “I used to sleep there,” Harry snaps. He’s breathing hard. He feels like he’s run a marathon, even though he’s just sitting there uselessly, staring at a perfectly ordinary cupboard. “What?” Sirius says. i think at this point it’s clear that “harry deserves a hug” fics are my favourites?? this fic made me cry – it felt cathartic to read it. (also, though it’s not a RH fic, i’d recommend reading where there’s a will by the same author; it’s a treasure.)
and that’s it! there’s a wealth of raising harry fics, more than i’d initially thought. i’m constantly looking for more so i’ll add to this list if i find some more i adore :)
Because Anthony’s clownish behaviour goes on far longer, I feel like sometimes we all forget how much of an absolute and total clown Kate is too.
That girl spends at least the first quarter of the book being like, ‘Edwina, I despise the viscount, okay? Despise him. Oh but hey, totally unrelated question — did he mention me at all????’

My absolute Favourite thing About The Bridgertons+ Kate dynamic is that their reaction to Kate and Anthony getting married is the Exact opposite to the Ton's.
The Ton: God, Why does Lord Bridgerton want to marry her????
The Bridgertons: So this woman is intelligent, and Smart, and pretty. And she wants to marry Anthony??? That just doesn't seem legit.
the accuracy.
Omg yes lmao
my favourite thing about eloise and phillip is how "floral" and "foresty" their aesthetic is. tspwl at some point of view is a story about sexual awakening — both for e and p. and it gives me massive "lady chatterley's lover" vibes. i can imagine phillip plays with flowers in eloise's hair while they make love in woods.
Wow Anon, this is one of the most poetic and accurate description of Eloise and Phillip I’ve ever read! Anyone obsessed with floral and woodland motivs(I know I’ve always been that person lol) is bound to fall in love with TSPWL’s entire aesthetic.
I love how Phillip uses flowers as a way to express himself when words fail him and Eloise immediately understands him and is genuinely fascinated by his work. Their love blooms and transforms a place where for eight years there was only grief and sadness, it simbolizes spring and rebirth and all things hopeful. It’s the way they both carefully nurture their love, just like Phillip tends to his plants, that makes it possible for the two of them to grow. And at the same time it’s the most natural thing in the world: they’re attracted to each other from their very first meeting and realise that they suit, despite or even because of their differences. Elemental is often used to describe their dynamic in the book. It really encapsulates the way they match and complement each other perfectly. In their differences lies their strength as a couple.
They also remind me quite a lot of Gendry and Arya, my ASOIAF otp, who have an entire song (My Featherbed) dedicated to them that is about a ‘forest love’ and ‘forest lass’ living their love in the woods and binding their hair with grass.
Now that you’ve mentioned it, I was actually surprised that JQ never wrote a sex scene in the woods or the gardens for E/P in the book, it would’ve been so in character for them. Perhaps the show will remedy that.
It's funny how some people say that Chris Fulton as Phillip is 'meh'. And to me it's feels kinda right because on a first and even on second look Phillip is supposed to be socially awkward and not quite as impressive. But then longer you look even at those couple of scenes from S1 then more you notice little smiles and micro expressions. Actually such a fine work.
Honestly, I also had my doubts about Phillip’s casting at first because he seemed like an odd choice for a character that is described as a dark haired bear of a man.
But I was completely sold once I saw his performance in episode 8. He was on screen for like three minutes and yet he managed to convey so much of this character! And no, he wasn’t playing TSPWL Phillip yet, but the younger and more naive, straight-outta-Cambridge, version of him. He was never going to roll up wearing work clothes and elbows deep in soil. The way he looked visibly uncomfortable in the Featheringtons’ drawing room and his voice broke while talking about his brother’s death were perfectly in character.
I think he struck a perfect balance between the distant and emotionally stunted side of Phillip and his genuinely honorable and caring nature. In their very last scene, I loved the way he fakes a smile for Marina’s sake as she climbs into the carriage, and then as soon as she’s out of his eyesight, the expression on his face changes drastically and is that of someone who’d rather be anywhere else. That to me is Phillip in a nutshell: constantly trying to do the right thing while he takes great care to conceal his own feelings. And if one really pays attention to his scenes(and that’s inevitable while making gifs), you realise just how complex and book accurate his portrayal was. So I do think that Chris is a perfect choice for the character and I’m certain that, caked in dirt and with a real beard, he’s going to nail TSPWL Phillip!
hi! just wanna confess: it's ridiculous how i had saw just the one picture of claudia and chris and went crazy eloise/phillip shipper mode casue wow the ✨chemistry✨ is somehow already out of charts
Oh you mean these iconic pictures that saved thousands of shipper lives and are the equivalent of a neon sign saying ‘ELOISE X PHILLIP WILL BE CANON’?
They make me want to reread TSPWL for a third time and I get even more impatient for Eloise and Phillip to finally cross paths on the show(I will probably fist bump the air if we so much as get vague hints of their future relationship next season).
No one is even remotely ready for Eloise and Phillip’s season lol
Thinking about how Claudia has already read TSPWL and knows what Eloise eventually gets up to with Sir Phillip😌
