santiago cracks her knuckles as she walks around the precinct , jumping up and down as she waited around for a new captain . there was a sense of anxiety rippling through her body was she stressed over something as little as a new captain . she had terry if worst came to worst , however , her police face strapped on the second someone new waltzed in . “ can we help you ? ”

the sergeant hadn’t been busy lately , her officers were nothing but spectacular and with the recent demotion of her captain , amy had been doing her best to step it up . to help terry and be a leader for the squads of the 99 whilst they awaited their new captain . however amy had been skipping her morning coffee lately and it wasn’t until she went that morning that she noticed someone staring right through her , but she noticed that maybe he wasn’t actually staring . “ are you okay sir ? ”

there would come a day where detective sergeant santiago would get used to the different people who would waltz into the 99 , but today she was still shocked as ever . a day out of uniform , on the field , was one of her favourite days , getting to help out her old squad was always fun even if she was killing it at managing the uniformed officers . miss perfect santiago smiled at the stranger as she stuck her hand out , “ sergeant santiago , i was told by my fellow detectives that you needed help , was that right ? ”
