On The Edge Of 70… A 31-day Stevie Nicks challenge!
↳ Day 25. All-time favorite photos
“Once in a million years a lady like her rises…”
Happy 70th Birthday to Stevie Nicks!🎂💜
“And if there’s anything really to say about time, real love doesn’t die."
Stevie Nicks on her friendship with Tom Petty, “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around” official music video commentary.
Rest in peace, Tom. Thank you for having brought so much light into this world. “You’ll go on forever, you’re that good.”
Happy birthday, Lori Nicks! ♥

Stevie Nicks singing Hotel California with Don Henley..OMG
I wish the quality was better and the video longer but I will take what I can get!
Don did his set before hers so you can see the crowd go nuts when they get their first glimpse of Stevie..perfectly timed when he says
“There she stood in the doorway” I so wish I could have witnessed this magic.
"I sang `Hotel California’ (and I thought) I lived through that,“ says Nicks, who kicked off the joint tour on June 3 in Philadelphia. "Don and I went out when he was recording `Hotel California’ at the end of the `Rumours’ recording. We lived those words in `Hotel California.’ "I’m up there singing, going, `Oh my God, here’s my life.’ I couldn’t help but be somewhat groupied out. I was a little stunned every night at the amazing gift to be able to sing that song every night with an Eagle.” - Stevie Nicks
“The photo was taken by my best friend, Mary,” Stevie explains. “When I go on the road it goes right on my makeup mirror, so before I go on stage, whether it’s with Fleetwood Mac or me in my solo career, the three of us are looking back at me and that has been my inspiration every single night. There’s lots of nights where you kind of go, I wish I didn’t have to go on stage tonight, I’m tired, I don’t feel like doing it, and I look at George Harrison and look at Longhi and look at me and I go, well, you just have to, because it’s important, it’s important to make people happy, so get out of your chair, put on your boots and go out there and do your thing.”
Happy birthday, George! (February 25th, 1943 - ∞)
“When I’m feeling a little depressed, a little anxious, a little depleted, I lean on that clip. And it works about 100 percent of the time! It’s about the magic of a weird little moment that you can’t plan. I’ve built my whole creative process around that. You can feel lightning in the video — she’s making up harmonies as she goes, on a warbled VHS that should put her out of tune but somehow doesn’t. The recording of ‘Wild Heart’ that she professionally made and meticulously crafted six months later, it pales in comparison to that moment.” — Mark Duplass, T Magazine.

We all know S&L continue to write about one another to this day, but it’s lyrics like these that intrigue me! They always keep us guessing😳Reminds me of the year Stevie was talking in the press about Joe being the love of her life.. Maybe she regretted scorning Lindsey, there is so much about their relationship (post the dance era) that is not made public, only veiled references
“I didn’t want to be a waitress, but I believed that Lindsey shouldn’t have to work, that he should just lay on the floor and practice his guitar and become more brilliant every day. And as I watched him become more brilliant every day, I felt very gratified. I was totally devoted to making it happen for him. I never worried about not being successful; I wanted to make it possible for him to be successful. And when you really feel that way about somebody, it’s very easy to take your own personality and quiet it way down. I knew my career was going to work out fine. I knew I wasn’t going to lose myself.”
- Stevie Nicks, Spin Magazine (1997)
