Winter Detox Carrot Juice
Thalipeeth with thecha
Serves 4
Ingredients
300 gm bajra flour
150 gm ragi flour
40 gm rice flour
40 gm besan flour
80 gm wheat flour
15 gm rava, local semolina
03 gm turmeric powder
05 gm red chilli powder
03 no green chilli chopped
02 nos. medium size onion chopped
05 gm fresh coriander chopped
05 gm fresh mint chopped
05 gm white sesame
10 ml ghee
Salt, to taste
Method
· Sieve all flours together in a bowl.
· Mix rest of the ingredients in flour and make a soft dough.
· Knead the dough and leave it for 15 minutes at room temperature.
· With wet hands flatten dough to a circle and make holes in it. These little holes ensure that it cooks evenly.
· Cook it on a hot plate/tawa and apply little ghee while cooking.
· Cook on both sides and remove.
Thecha
Ingredients
05 nos. less spicy green chilli
15 cloves garlic peeled
35 gm fresh mint
50 gm fresh coriander
10 gm ginger
05 gm rock salt
For Tempering
05 gm cumin seeds
A pinch of turmeric powder
05 gm mustard seeds
20 ml refined oil
Method
· Coarsely pound green chilli, ginger, garlic, fresh coriander, mint and add salt.
· Heat oil in a pan add cumin seed, mustard seed followed by turmeric powder.
· Add tempering to the coarsely blended chilli paste and mix well.
Goes well with: yogurt, slice onion and pickle
