Dorian snickered at her words and turned to look at her, feigning hurt. āOuch. Iām actually just bored out of my fucking mind, but alrightā¦ā
"Ha. Lucky you. I can't be bored even if I want to. They constantly keep me occupied."
"I guess thatās true⦠Would you go with me? Itās just⦠I need the support."
"Of course. I'm Amelia."
The blonde watched her closely, eyes close on every moment. A smile spread across her face after the patient spoke, reaching a hand to softly pat the girlās shoulder. āI would imagine so. Have they been very loud lately?ā
"No louder than usual, just more persistent and harmful."
Morganās brows rose as she spoke, confusion setting in both in the subject and for the fact she knew such the matter. His fingers threaded together and he looked away. āHeās about a hundred or so, maybe add a few more years. He was a soldier during the first world war. Those are his strongest memories.ā
"Oh." Amelia exhaled, slightly relieved. "He's not a demon. Most likely the Poltergeist. They can be pretty nasty. They qualify as demons in the haven't reincarnated more than 800 years." She smiled. "I'm Amelia, by the way."
"Sounds like a migraine." Rawles noted with a nod, standing to cross the room to speak with a nurse. She returned after a moment with a wet rag and a small cup containing two pills. "Here you are."
Amelia took the necessities from dr. Rawles, placing a rag behind her neck to cool the blood pumping to her head. She poured a glass of water to herself and took the pills. "Thank you, dr. Rawles. The migraine mixed with voices is never a good combination to me."
"I can bring you to the infirmary. They can give you something."
"that would be very kind of you."
Anyone need help now that I'm back?
"Iām Luke, itās nice to meet you Amelia." He introduced himself with a charming smile.Ā
"Well, um, you too, Luke. So, you're the security?"
"Iām too scared to⦠heāll do something to me."
"Did he see you? If he didn't than you're safe. There's no way he could ever suspect you."
Morgan glanced up in surprise, looking at her with shock before continuing, āHe calls himself a demon⦠but I donāt know if he really is one. He was alive once like you and me, so would that make him a ghostā¦?ā
Amelia bit her lip for a brief moment. She was well-educated in all of that because one particular voice told her all about the "Other world". "I believe he's a ghost. They sometimes choose not the reincarnate and, by time they spend in Limbo, they grow stronger with every non-reincarnation. Most of ghosts like to incarnate and live again, but some of them prefer power and that eventually turns them into demons. How old is he, if you don't mind me asking?"
"So you admit that youāre crazy?"
"Only if you do too. You're no better than me."
"Ohā¦" Allison ran a hand through her hair shakily as if to try and compose herself. "He didnāt. But Iāve run into him a few times. Sure is meanā¦"
"Well, have you said anything to any of the doctors or staff?"
"What do you call yourself then?" The young man asked, eyes on her as she entered the pool, watching at the water edged up her body. "Iām Yuri." He then added, trying to imply he was going for her name.
"Do you know any swimming techniques? Such as the butterfly stroke or the front crawl? Iāve read all about them and I must say, Iām curious."
"I call myself schizophrenic." She grinned, before introducing herself. "I'm Amelia."
"Well, I know dolphin, dog and normal swimming?"
"That was a cute threat. But you see, thereās your mistake,Ā darling. Iām properly socializing, Iām thinking properly, I love complex things because I always end up winning, yet I was deemed crazy. Maybe youāre just crazy, but you donāt know it yet.ā
"There is difference between crazy and crazy. I don't think we're on a same definition of crazy. We're crazy because we hear and see things that 'aren't here', that's true. But, we're not crazy because we can still function normally. Well, most of the time."
"What can I do for you to make it exactly good? Care for some tea maybe? Or a walk through the gardens?"
"Either of it would be nice." Amelia smiled widely. "but, well, my state cannot be fixed with tea or walks." She sighed, instantly feeling less optimistic.
Morgan threaded his fingers though his hair, careful to not pull on any one strand so that he didnāt increase the buzzing inside his head. āI got possessed at my last asylumā¦āĀ
"By a demon? Or a ghost?"
"Aw, is someone getting angry because they canāt face the truth?"
"Are you scared to face the fact that youāre probably not gonna get better? That your just anotherĀ crazy thatās gonna be stuck here until you either off yourself or someone does it for you?ā
"I wouldn't mind getting rid off you. Crazy people are not sane. They don't control their actions and they can't properly socialize, think or do anything complex on their own. Last time I've checked, fellow lunatic, I could do all of those things. Ergo, I am not crazy. So just shut up already."
Dorian sat a little straighter at the other voice, sending a brief glance in their direction before continuing to stare blankly at the wall before him. āFine. Why wouldnāt I be?ā
"Well, honestly, you don't look very fine to me. You sure I can't help you somehow?"
