Megumi’s Type~ ✨
itafushi stocks going up
Itafushi fic recs
Hey guys!
For the past 3ish years, I've been reading Itfs fics and bookmarking all the ones I enjoyed. I've compiled them into an organized spreadsheet, if anyone is interested in looking for a fic they may enjoy.
Right now there's about 600 fics, but I still have quite a lot to read so more will be added
Anyway if anyone wants to look for a fic, you're more than welcome to

sometimes fanfic writing with english as your second language is “oh no! looks like I’ve ran out of english” or “that’s it, I give up english” half way through your fic. and then you continue writing in english.
Obsessed by the Ursula Leguin's Earthsea saga at the moment.... Ged and his boat have been on my mind ⋆。゚🌊。
a few months passed inbetween these two illustrations and I can see my painting style has evolved a bit like it's sharper I feel Idk ?
I've reached the point where cynicism is a major turn-off for me. You're not smarter than idealists, and you're not helping.
Funny that the stereotypical cynic is an idealist who aged out of it. In my experience, the reverse is true. I was an extreme cynic as a teenager and then I noticed how profoundly limiting it was, and also that "cynics are cool and smart" was a message that was being constantly reinforced by corporate media for some reason.
#yes! cynicism reads as very juvenile to me#and yes prev often stemming from teen pain
Yeah, like I see black-pilled people on here and my default reaction isn't "oh, these must be world-weary old warriors who've lost their faith in humanity", it's "these people are in their 20s and need a hobby"
I also think that the present era has proven that authoritarian leaders don't actually want a population of wide-eyed idealists, they want a population of jaded assholes who are convinced that everyone is lying, any resistance is either a scam or doomed to failure, and nothing can ever get better.
Maybe not a 100% fit, but I am reminded of this:
"The trouble is that we have a bad habit, encouraged by pedants and sophisticates, of considering happiness as something rather stupid. Only pain is intellectual, only evil interesting. This is the treason of the artist: a refusal to admit the banality of evil and the terrible boredom of pain. If you can't lick 'em, join 'em. If it hurts, repeat it. But to praise despair is to condemn delight, to embrace violence is to lose hold of everything else. We have almost lost hold; we can no longer describe happy man, nor make any celebration of joy."

I am a SatoSugu blog but I need to have an ItaFushi moment.
Listen. Personally I’m not the type to ship something if it doesn’t have canon moments that could support it, I just have trouble believing that it would be realistic, and for a while (in the first season) that was me with ItaFushi. I didn’t mind it, but I was like “eh, it could be a platonic only thing for sure”. But now. Nah. Just. Hear me out.
Megumi always says to Yuuji before they separate, “I’ll kill you if you die.”
Which they both know, we all know, that’s a very empty threat. But the weight of it is so, so heavy when you consider Megumi’s personal motivations and core values as a person. He reveres people who he believes are good down to their pure essence. He even told Todo that a person like that is his type. The second he met Yuuji, he knew Yuuji was exactly that. So, realistically, Yuuji is canonically Megumi’s type. But that’s beside the main point I want to make.
My main point is: Megumi specifically told Gojo that he wanted Yuuji’s life to be spared, knowing how detrimental his existence as Sukuna’s vessel was to the world.
“Personal feelings?” Asked Gojo. He knew immediately. He raised Megumi. When do you think Megumi has ever asked him for anything? Yuuji was instantly that important to Megumi. He just saw Yuuji’s pureness and felt the need to protect it despite otherwise being discerning and rational—he made the very emotional, very irrational decision to go out of his way and have Gojo keep Yuuji alive.
So when he says, “I’ll kill you if you die.” when he really just wants Yuuji to live more than anything else, he’s saying to Yuuji in his own angsty-bury-my-feelings-behind-harsh-words-way: “I cannot handle the thought of your death.”
Megumi, who is rational by nature.
Megumi, who knows Yuuji is a dead man walking already.
Megumi, who wants Yuuji to live anyways, despite knowing that.
Megumi, who loves Yuuji so deeply it scares him to admit it.
"This week I discovered the same pattern, executed by Google. Google Chrome is reaching into users' machines and writing a 4 GB on-device AI model file to disk without asking."

pretty sure I did the chrome//flags thing a while ago, but also i switched to firefox, which is not without the occasional bullshit, but is vastly less bullshitty than chrome. This is why I treat genai "features" like the invasive blackberry bushes they are: cut, root, burn, and vigilantly watch for new shoots to uproot. I'm 54 years old and the world got by fine without genai for most of my lifetime.

The only ways to make the deletion stick are to disable Chrome's Al features through chrome://flags or enterprise policy tooling that home users do not generally have, or to uninstall Chrome entirely
...
Adding the file took zero clicks. Removing it requires (a) discovering the file exists, (b) understanding what it is, (c) navigating into a hidden user profile path, (d) deleting it (and on Windows, also clearing the read-only attribute first), and (e) accepting that Chrome will silently re-download it on next eligible window unless the user also navigates chrome://flags, enterprise policy, or platform-specific configuration tooling to disable the underlying Chrome Al feature. None of those steps is documented in the place a normal user looks - none of them is even hinted at in default Chrome.
For Windows users:
Open Registry Editor. Press (Windows Key + R) then type regedit then press (Enter).
Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Google\Chrome\ in the Registry Editor.
Right click and select New > DWORD 32-bit Value.
Name the new key GenAILocalFoundationalModelSettings.
Right click your new key and select Modify.
Change the value to 1 (it’ll start as 0). Click Okay.
Restart your computer.
You can also do this for Edge if you use it.
This should keep Chrome from redownloading the file.
