The Financial Savvyness of a Shopaholic!

No, the title of this blog is not an oxymoron. It is a collection of experiences that have led me (the Shopaholic) to realize that personal financial wellness (even for college students) is not merely a playground for us to run wild on (spend our money like its running water). It is a fact of life and one that we must come to terms with so that if we trip, fall and scrape our knee, we know how to get back up (and what to do after that!) I am a senior in college and am in an intern position in a financial institution. I am learning as I go, about the economic and financial world we, as consumers and young people, live in! Everything I have learned and will learn, I will pass to you and along the way my experiences will hopefully help set cornerstones for the way we as Gen Yers need to live and spend money NOW! I'll even point you in the direction where you become financially stable and on your way to saving. Believe it or not there are ways to enjoy life without breaking the bank even thought we're young and have virtually no career yet. It's up to you! Do you want to become financially fit? OKay Okay I know....it's been awhile....however I have been unbelievably busy. Being in grad school is not to be taken lightly. The work...WHEW...it's crazyyy. However I'm back and ready to save. (Well I still have been saving, don't get excited:)

Oh the Spring Semester...

It's my senior year.....well not technically. I am in a 5-year master's program....but this year is my senior year. It is surreal to me how fast these past 4 years went by.

It literally has been the most amazing ride. But even in these 3 1/2 years (almost 4). I still haven't experienced everything.

So I decided to make a "bucket list" to complete for the rest of the semester.

1. Go swimming in the river next to my campus...(it's not that deep:)

2. Get to know 5 people in my graduating class that I never knew personally.

3. Apply for 4 potential jobs (or at least get the ball rolling)

4. Take up ZUMBA at the gym!

That's all I have so far but we shall keep adding to it!
