Ames patted Alec's cheek and then just smiled when the X-series finally came to. "There he is... Good morning Sunshine."
"My god don’t you have something better to do…"
His head was throbbing with pain and he felt like he could rip Ames’ head off but for some reason his arms didn’t want to respond. He looked up at Ames… Staring for a second then looking away.
"Whatever you have to tell yourself to cope with the fact that I outsmarted you."
"And it only gave me a reason to try again..."
"Oh great, just who I wanted to see. You here to try and kill me again? You know because that worked so well last time."
"If I wanted you dead you would have been dead a long time ago, 494."

All Logan could think of was the mission being drilled into his mind. Nothing else mattered. His emotions were wiped clean just as his mind was and all his prior feelings and beliefs were replaced. Logan just mindlessly repeated the words over ad over again, unaware of exactly how much time was passing by.
They started to drill into Logan's head that he has to bring 452 back to Ames. But she must not be harmed, though she's a government threat, Logan must apprehend her at any cost necessary. It's not like Ames had to sleep. Instead he just roamed around the corridors of the building. He walked past cells and cages, though they were all empty. He walked back to where they held 494... He just walked up to the transgenic, seeing that he was still being completely sluggish. He just smiled and placed his hand on the transgenic's shoulder... Nothing happened, Alec wasn't even tied up... He was just lazy.
Ames nodded and walked back out. Walking back to Logan, who now was under sedation and kept on an IV in a separate room he checked the wrist watch on his arm. Two hours left... Good... He summoned the scientist, then the little bomb was removed from Logan's neck.
Logan was taken off from the IV and then rolled out of the building and placed into a car. They drove for several miles and then they stopped. Ames just let them place Logan on the side of the road. Ames took out Logan's phone and texted Max... Telling her where to find Logan.

Logan was surprised to see Ames finally cracking and shattering. The only explanation was that he really did care about his son. Ames didn’t even wait for a reply though and gave the go ahead for the scientists around him. Logan struggled and grunted but it was no use and soon he was staring down the barrel of the laser. One of the people mentioned that Logan would not survive prolonged exposure and Logan took a deep breath and then it began, shining straight into his eye and immediately setting his brain on fire, melting his previous way of thinking, twisting his mind into believing Alec was the enemy here. Since he was human the effects occured quite rapidly and in a few moments Logan already believed the new programming they were subjecting him to and he mindlessly repeated. “Designation 494 is the enemy…”
Ames just stood in the hallway, another scientist approached him and showed him some of the results the liquid sedation had on Alec. It made him completely sluggish for the past hour ever since they brought him back from his unconscious state. Ames smiled at the thought, usually it takes 494 just a few minutes to get over the sedation. Ames then walked back into the room he came from and smiled when he heard Logan mindless repeating the words over... and over and over again.
"He's broken... But keep it up for a few more hours... We need the idea to stick, not just fade away after a few minutes."
The scientist nodded and then set off to work. Ames crossed his arms over his chest, holding the chart up he looked the report of 494 over. Maybe he should pay the transgenic a visit again?

"I’ll never tell you where he is. He doesn’t deserve to be treated the way those cult freaks treated him. He’s somewhere safe. That’s all I’ll tell you. I won’t tell you where the other transgenics are either and to top it all off any deal that comes from you I want nothing to do with so save your sympathy for the devil bullshit for someone who would actually fall for it."
Ames was getting really pissed off right now. He was finally shouting, losing his composure.
"WHERE IS MY SON?!"
He then took a step away from Logan and just gave the scientists the go ahead, they took off his glasses and they started the brainwashing, shooting that fixed laser straight into Logan's eye. They were trying to scramble his brain into thinking he doesn't care about Alec any longer... That he'll tell Ames whatever it is he wants to know. A scientist approached Ames...
"--Sir."
"WHAT?!"
"--Sir he's just human, his mind isn't designed to withstand prolonged exposure."
"Then let's see how long Mr. Cale can hold onto dear life before his brain gets melted."
Ames just had to take a step out of the room. He needed to take a deep breath and recollect himself.

"What else could you possibly want? You’ve already killed a transgenic and captured Eyes Only. All in one day. What more do you want!?"
Logan was shivering, glad to have the mouth guard out of his mouth.
"I want to know... Where you took my son... And where are the other transgenics? Also what are you willing to give to have Max... Virus free."
Ames could see the fear in the normal man's eyes. He just kept up his poker face and sighed.
"Well another thing... Why do you even care so much about the transgenics?

Logan was prepped as if for surgery but all the while he never once truly reacted to the things they were doing to him. The explosive in his head meant he was dead either way and with Alec dead… nothing felt worthwhile anymore. Logan knew he shouldn’t feel like that. he still had so many people depending on him. Ames mentioned it would all be over soon and Logan frowned. His face was beaded with sweat droplets from the whole ordeal.
Then the chair was lifted and a Lazer position in front of his eyes and Logan knew what this was from the stories Alec told him. Slight fear slithered into his being and his eyes went wide.
"Wait… wait… you don’t have to do this…"
Ames pretended he didn't hear what Logan said at the moment, but then again he's not a cruel guy. So he removed the mouth guard and tilted his head a little to the side.
"Oh...? Well then if you co-operate Mr. Cale... We'll be happy to co-operate with you."

Logan didn’t fight or react at all when Ames came close and strapped a watch to his wrist. He just sighed and kept looking down. He felt utterly hopeless, as if the darkness around him threatened to devour him alive. Ames mentioned something about treating him like transgenics, but Logan just groaned in protest when the goons untied him. He fully understood the warning as well. The next moment he was being hauled to his feet and Logan stumbled along with them.
As before, Logan was once again strapped down but this time to a table and he closed his eyes against the bright light above his head.
"What are you going to do to me?"
Ames walked into the room and he just looked down at Logan. Some of the scientists came in there and started to hook him up to machines, heart monitors, they jammed needles into his arm. They placed a teeth guard into his mouth and placed some monitoring paddles against his temples. Ames just leaned over Logan and patted him on his cheek.
"Don't worry it'll be over before you know it."
They started to lift the table a little, tilting it upright. They positioned the overhead lazer just right in front of his right eye and Ames gave Logan one last look, tilting his head to the side.
"You can get one last chance, Logan..."
"You can try to be strong as much as you want 494. I'll say he'll be dead in about..." He looks down at his watch. "Nine hours..." He chuckled and left with the box. "Have fun all alone in there."
Alec just stared up at Ames through his good eye. His head still spinning viciously. He had to get out of here, he had to find Max… He had… To… Ow… Was that a needle? No… Have to stay awake… Have to—

Logan glanced up for a small moment when Ames left, walking out the room. Logan didn’t think anything of it and just stared back at the ground, enduring the shock every few seconds, body convulsing with pain, screaming every time the electricity coursed through his body.
When Ames finally returned he held a box in his hand, handing it to his men who then stopped shocking him, giving Logan a much needed breather. Logan just spat in the general direction of Ames and replied in a whisper, unable to speak any louder.
"You might have taken Alec from me, but I still have a purpo…"
Suddenly something was jammed into his neck and Logan started to shake violently then slowly stopped, spit running from his mouth he quickly spit it out and moaned.Â
"A… Alec…"
Ames just watched as Logan convulsed. Something about the mere imagery of that brought a smile to his face. Ames held up the wrist watch and he clicked the button that started to count down the last twenty four hours Logan had left to live. Ames walked up to Logan and strapped it around his wrist.
"Since you like these transgenic freaks of yours so much, we're going to treat you like one of them.."
He knows every damn way there is to get Logan to squeal about what he knows. He just smiled as the goons came closer again and untied Logan, but before they did that.
"... One wrong move and we'll blow your head off... We don't want 452 to find you sticking to the walls now do we?"
The goons untied Logan and started to haul him off to one of the labs in the facility. They threw him down onto a table and strapped him onto it. The over head light was suddenly turned on.
"So Logan sends his regards... He'll probably be dead soon..."
Alec just looked up at Ames, the vision in front of him swimming. He groaned as he felt his head ache heavily. How long was he even out? He heard the name Logan and instantly looked up at Ames. Alec’s face was so swollen from being beaten up he just chuckled, the blood coming the corner of his mouth splattered as he spoke.
"Don’t worry… Every dog has it’s day."

Ames nodded at someone behind Logan, someone he couldn’t see and the next moment he felt a powerful electric surge against his neck, sizzling into his skin and he yelled, softer than before until it ended and he sagged back down, breathing hard as tears dripped to the floor.
The tears that came from Logan's eyes didn't even move him at all. He simply stood from where he was sitting and left the room. The goon continued to shock him every thirty seconds, only giving him a ten second breather.
Ames walked to where he kept 494. He watched as the X5 finally came back to life. Groaning.
"So Logan sends his regards... He'll probably be dead soon..."
Ames just chuckled as he took the little box from the table and held up the tiny bomb in his hands. The one Alec had in his neck before. Alec threatened him as much as he could and Ames just ignored him. Ames walked out with the little box and then saw Logan. He just smiled and handed the one goon the box. They knew exactly what to do with it. The one with the tazer finally moved away from Logan.
"How does it feel... To know you have no purpose in life... Not anymore."
He gestured for the guy with the box and he came closer, quickly without any warning planted the chip into the back of Logan's neck.
"Finally... We'll be rid of Eyes-Only."

"If when I do find them and if they are dead, I will kill you." Max said darkly to White. If worse comes, there is a few last ditch efforts she could use on him but it would also kill her as well. But at this point, Max could care less about her safety.Â
"That's just it... You won't find them."
Ames just smiled at Max and he walked backwards while facing her.
"You have a good day 452."

The moment Ames spoke Logan just suddenly looked up, furious anger in his face yet he still didn’t say a word. A moment later he looked away, unable to look at White for another moment longer.
Ames just rolled his eyes and looked up at the guy slightly behind Logan and he nodded at him. The guy came closer with a tazer and he pushed it against his neck. It's on a low setting but enough to cause some pain.

Ames seemed so comfortable as he came to sit before Logan again. Logan didn’t even try to sit up and merely stared at his legs.The blood in his system was boiling so angry was Logan. Just the mere thought that Alec’s blood was still inside of him cut like a knife into Logan and when Ames spoke Logan didn’t say a word.
Ames knew Logan wasn't going to talk now that he taken something important away from him... Maybe now Logan can feel how he felt when they took his son away from him.
"Tick tock Logan... We don't have all day... If you don't start talking we're going to take some drastic measures."

"Where are they White? I don’t have time for this." Max told him, getting more frustrated by the minute as she did her best not to get too frantic about the whole thing.Â
"494 is dead... But don't worry it ended quickly for him."
He smiled at her and just shrugged a shoulder.
"As for your little Eyes-Only friend... We'll see where he ends up by this time tomorrow."
