You ever think about how Clarus and Regis went through extreme lengths to post Cor outside the Citadel and closer to the edge of the city because “the citizens must be his priority and his position was ordained by the king,” and should anything happen, Regis “wanted only the most capable to evacuate the people.”

And Cor practically begged to be by their side and they probably did everything they could to ensure he survived and possibly safeguard their sons, including keeping him out of the loop and giving him false reassurances because they know he would die for them and if he was in the Citadel, he’d probably head straight to them D’:

My submission for @mementoamarezine about the evolving relationship of Gladio and Ignis. I had the time period of childhood. I imagine the both of them snuck into the Royal archives after school to read up on their lessons and talk for several hours about their favorite bits of history.

I like that Gladio reminds me of Iris a lot and I’m very glad over how this turned out!

Firstly, this man is Greatest Dad in Eos™

he was super protective over Cor due to the fact that Cor was the youngest out of the group.

He also was the one who taught both Iris and Gladio how to ballroom dance. He started teaching Gladio when he was 13, and Iris when she was 9.

During their travels, Clarus was closest to Cor, it was a father-son bond between them for awhile. Clarus taught him how to fight, they would always train together and things like that. When Clarus had Gladio, Cor was there to congratulate him and tell him he’s an old man now. Even though they aren’t that far apart in age, Cor was also a little immature and reckless in his younger days.

He and Regis were like brothers, they knew each other the longest out of the five of them, and when Regis first fell in love with his wife Clarus was already engaged and so he was his wing man

When Gladiolus was born, Clarus was excited. A future shield is born! He was excited to teach Gladiolus the arts of combat, to pass his wisdom and teachings to his son. When he found out he was having a daughter though, he almost wept in joy. He was so ecstatic to have a daughter. He built all of the nursery stuff himself, he painted the walls. One of the chairs in the nursery was full of stuffed animals, ones of chocobos, moogles, cactuar. He absolutely spoiled her in her baby times.

He and Cid had a friendly rivalry, they were always trying to outdo each other. Most of the time it ended up in them looking stupid and Regis laughing at them.
