Deanna looks at herself in the mirror. Drags her hand back and forth roughly through her freshly-cut hair, making cut pieces fly and fall like snow onto her shoulders and the bathroom counter.

Looks into Dad’s wet, sorrowful eyes when he runs calloused fingers over her head before he compliments her on her smart decision, tugging experimentally and seeing that he can barely get a grip. Ignores the anticipatory goosebumps and the sick feeling that slides down her spine to wait, heavy and slimy, in her guts.

Grits her teeth when Sammy comes to hug them bye before their hunt, and Dad’s fingers thread through silky, brown waves to cradle Sam’s head and kiss between her eyebrows. Watches and waits for those thick fingers to pull free, tugging one last time for good measure, like a ‘one to grow on’ birthday swat.

Thinks about convincing Sam to cut her hair, too.

deans eyes shine in the light, wet and tired. So tired. John can see it, can see everything in those eyes, eyes that he had a part in making. Wet plaps of their lube-wet skin sound through the room. It's not like he wants this anymore. It's not like dean ever did. They just can't... Can't not. Sam's gone and dean and John are all that's left, two hollowed out souls against all of the evil in the world. They can't help but soak up a little evil themselves.

There's a faint smell of fake strawberry in the air, flavored lube on sale. It's underwhelming compared to the smell of sex and the stink of rot. They both know that it's coming from the room, but it does feel like this act- this disgusting travesty of a father and son is rotting them from the inside out.

Dean's crying now, always crying. John wants to yell at him dont you know i'd stop if you ever asked me to. Dean never asks and John never tells him. He just moves faster. They don't have anything without Sam, not their souls, not who they were. It's just empty. Empty rooms, empty hearts. Empty people, trying to fill themselves up in the worst way possible
