Hey, sorry to bother me but I just wanted to say I love your pre-adaptation Sharp objects post and I’m curious, but how do you feel about the tv series now? Do you still dislike it and would like it to get remade with a more accurate cast and biracial Camille?
tbh... i think it's a masterpiece! there are nuances that could've been hit with more boundary-pushing casting but overall, with such great source material and a cast that could really act their asses off, it was hard-pressed to be anything but marvelous.
it did take me a while to finally give in and watch it due to how close i was to the material but like, hey! we live and we learn. once i was far enough removed, i was able to accept it for what it offered! and it offered a lot.
