being the youngest sanderson never bothered sarah, because that meant she was the one who was going to stay the hottest for the longest. sarah’s looks were something that were very important to her from a young age. it was partially influenced by her sister’s desperation to look young forever and also because she was often used as the hot distraction for most of their group missions. she has always been a hopeless flirt since she was young, but she also really likes romance, y’know? her ideas of romance are far more disturb than the average person, but there is nothing average about sarah sanderson.
sometimes she wishes she knew what her mother was like. she wishes that she could remember her face or literally anything, but she was still a baby when she passed. it broke her heart knowing she was the only sanderson with no memory of both parents, so she clung to her father while she had him. she adored him and his work, and when he was ripped away from her and her sisters, it crushed her.
winnie being the eldest was really the source of her leadership (aside from the fact that sarah was not bright and mary was not the type to speak out of term). winnie was the one who introduced them to witchcraft in honor of their mother and it is the only thing that makes sarah feel close to her. the world tried to tear them apart more than once, but in the end they always stuck together. her sisters are her first priority over anything or anyone else.
she would be lying if she said she hadn’t had her fun with stealing the souls of children. she knows that is mostly a thing of the past, but when it came time to luring the children in....it was her only job and she was very good at it. she used her hypnotic singing voice to enchant them their way and it was really the only spell she had ever been better at her sisters at. it did help that her aloofness made her come off as both naïve and nurturing, which she is not. so when she lost that job she felt useless for a long time.
luckily she was able to do enough to take over new salem. it was dreadfully fun and very hard and her magic has been kind of out of whack ever since. she can do simple spells, but she is strongest when she is doing them with her sisters.
control was fun and all, but she grew awfully bored very quickly. so she resorted to doing what she did best; flirting with any guy she could and caging the ones she liked! nothing made her happier than having a nice young man in captivity. they never lasted long, but they were fun to have while she had them!
sarah had been into billy butcherson since she was young. she had never acted on it in her youth because she knew winnie would have killed her in broad daylight, but eventually the two came together and it was so much fun! sarah thinks of their time so fondly. it was a shame that winnie ended up finding out and leaving him for dead, but she knew that if she was meant to reunite with billy again, it would happen.
with new places to discover, sarah is thrilled. finally something to curb her boredom and new people to meet! new salem was very old-fashioned, so she is a bit out of touch with the way things are ran in animania, but she is eager to learn. she almost got the concept of a cell phone down. she just needs to figure out how the magic box takes so many pictures of her! she fears there is a demon trapped in there!
just because she comes off sweet and ditzy, don’t be fooled. she can be cunning and evil and she enjoys that she is. she has found peace in her darkness and embraces it fully.
she has a collection of rat tails that she holds very dearly. they have always been there for her when she needs them the most.
she quite enjoys thackery binx. she knows he hates her and her sisters for turning him into a cat and killing his sister, but she likes his spunk.
she gets very easily distracted. even if she does get into one of her darker tangents she is very easy to get out of it. a good spider also normally takes her out of her fits.
she desires love, but she doesn’t really believe she will ever truly have it. every time she comes close, winnie normally makes sure that it doesn’t keep going. so she just does what she can to have as much fun and seek out as many connections as she can.
