Big Bad Bird

I have this guy for you today!

His name is Halapouh and he is kind of a villian in my future comic. I mean he has a point - wizards purposefully dumb the humans down to prevent any significant industrial progress, that's disrespectful at best! Halapouh himsel used to be a winter wizard. A quiet woodsman with big ideas of reforming the society around him but with no means to bring them to life. Until he found the mentioned means and got carried away. A lot (゜゜;)

Halapouh (love this name sm! it's secretly even more stupid xd) found something deep in the forest and it slowly changed him and his body. From an uninteresting woodsman he became a beloved leader of his village. He got very close to achieving his plans, when his mysterious powers from the forest started to get out of control. Who knew that this stuff will get a will of it's own?..

Yep! He got the powers from a little Parasite. And it was glad to share in exchange for a modest fee of fulfilling its itty-bitty wishes! (it manifested as a sudden urge to eat a specific thing or react in a certain way) It was rather presumptious of Halapouh to assume that everything would stay that way... Right now he has two full on personalities playing mind chess for control of the body. Guess who is winning?

Gradually, Halapouh is loosing the battle inside his head and well, now he is horrifyingly massive (Clarson right here considers himself to be a big guy), impulsive and pretty sadistic. Dangerous combo! And he doesn't even realise that things are going off the rails - village believes he's a deity at this point so there's no one to say the obvious (unill Clarson and inspector arrive there, of course ^^).

At least you can say it was worth it - not only Parasite gave him much needed confidence, he also granted Halapouh ability to see speech and thought bubbles and interact with them. Endless possibilities if you're creative!

there are more nuances to Halapouh's story (he had a fiancee before the parasite thing, you know) (and you can notice some similarities between him and Clarson ;D), but I hope this little text conveyed it as interesting as I see it! Thank you for reading ꉂ(˵˃ ᗜ ˂˵) hopefully I'll continue with this~☆

Sometimes I do such little comics instead of just writing a scene down, but they are too incomprehensible to post here (and im too tired to translate...). This time I managed to keep everything somewhat presentable and completed! In my univerce humans don't know about a lot of things, "bad" words included, but inspector tries his best at learning from a wizard friend of his ＼(^-^)／

Back in 2024 I really struggled to draw Clarson make a sharp turn (plus looking straight into "camera"), so it was an interesting task to revisit two years later! Welp, I defenetly drew him more dynamic, but this time was absolutely incapable of recreating his original expression. Art is weird, man (*´▽｀) I feel like there's now actually two tasks - the original one "Clarson making a turn" and based on the way the old image reads "Clarson looking offended on the edge of tears".

I JUST REALISED

I literally drew THA SAME THING exactly a year ago, in February of 2025! What this month has to do with purple gold ornamented tailcoats and light-eyed blond men facing left?.. (ﾟ∀ﾟ)

Anyway, I'm glad that this accident made me see my progerss! It's basically an unintentional redraw thanks to the similarities lol. What do you think of these drawings? To me they look like pieces from two different artists... Is a year such a long time? ⌒(°ωﾟ)⌒
