ouuuhhghgh finally releasing this from my drafts i was going to resist the temptation but i have been swayed into making ocs of @b1asho's lovely critters,,, specifically of the frogbird variety,, i completely butchered drawing these thangs and i don't know like EVERYTHING about the Wreck Hounds setting so this is a bit loose but oh well here be two Arasit with very different views on their Arasitness

Atahrtae (Ata) has piebaldism and an extremely negative self image on it despite pretty much never have been stigmatized for it in their community, feeling as though they "don't deserve" to be an Arasit, feared their traveling role thinking everyone they're gonna pass by is just gonna be like wow look at that white patchy loser. Ata wears a LOT of clothing for a Kix (kinda bad for him. not sure how this would work but maybe he jus feels all stuffy hot most of the time idk i didnt read up enough on this screams its up to interpretation you tell me) in order to cover their dreaded patches, capes to hide their membranes, they've even been caught wearing a mask/face drape a couple times. she'd try that maximalist membrane cutting if she wasn't a total pussy about it (she admits to this). Ata dislikes being around Kixeli, but even more around other species, but but she has a non-Kix workplace so oof.. except for one dude.

said dude would be Lepenki, the polar opposite of Ata, a self-absorbed chud too good to stay around anywhere/anyone for too long and very boasty about being an Arasit. she can travel around all she wants! she's a rare phenomenon! she can glide! i bet you wish you could glide!!!! despite all that she somehow (by means unbaked by me) got grounded on this same bland workplace as Ata, getting quite scoffy with them over their antisocial self-bashing demeanor but eventually deciding she was going to help this idiot realize what a privilege being a flier is, or something like that..

Lep maaaay have good intentions, but they tend to ignore/aggravatingly push on Ata's boundaries and seems to treat her like a personal project at this point, and while Ata isn't a big fan of this smelly prep girl telling them how to feel about their body they are the only Kix around here, and that is a step better from being alone out i guess. kinda toxic yuri question mark?

Kar posting to get back into the drawing mood

Fun fact: kind of like "man,", "kar" can be used to refer to prectikar as a whole and specifically male prectikar. Hokar get an extra syllable because they're special and important in most cultures (idk how it works yet).

a lot of the guys here are pictured in more traditional clothing. Because there aren’t rules against wearing it (in the DRSS…), this kind of clothing is most common in Enclaves and during the courtship season. Traditional games and other cultural practices related to the season also play out in Enclaves more or less how they would have been done on the homeplanet. Outside of areas with a Prectikar-dominant population, things are much more muted. A lot of kar living in human areas just have to deal with the bodily changes with little fanfare(alone or with family, since kar living outside of Enclaves are typically isolated from unrelated people) (though there are apps for meeting up with other people or families in your area to relieve stress or even find a partner!)
