A mix of camera and iphone photos from my stay at Grayson Perry’s ‘A House For Essex’ in Wrabness, Essex.
The house felt as much of a gallery as it did a functional house, the kitchen was stocked with every utensil you could possibly need and the attention to detail throughout was impeccible. There was a selection of music and books relevant to Julie Cope’s life and the local area which really helped to set the scene.
Find out more info about the story of Julie Cope here...

The scenery around was just as beautiful as the house, it was set in a field with the marshland at the end of a track running alongside the house, it was bitterly cold the whole time we were there but it was amazing looking out at the frosty fields in the morning, drinking coffee, with a log fire burning and Joni Mitchell on the stereo.
I was incredibly lucky to be able to stay in ‘A House For Essex’ last weekend, It is an experience I will never forget and gave me the inspiration to pick up my camera and start taking photos again (something I haven’t wanted to do for quite a long time) I unfortunately had trouble with one of my lenses but shortly I will be posting a selection of the photos I was able to take!
Few i-phone shots of some urban exploring in Kent.
I’m in love with the British seaside town.
I led a photography walk around Kings Wood in Challock a few weeks ago but completely forgot about the images!
I had limited battery near the end which ended up being a positive because I was much more selective about what I chose to photograph.
It was a wonderfully bright day and it was nice to get out and photograph something different.
At the gallery today.
Researching an exhibition for next year but also planning a new photo book idea in my head. I feel like I have some of the motivation back this week and might even take a trip outside with the Mamiya.
I'm interning today at the Clare Woods: Monument exhibition at Mascalls Gallery (excuse the shoddy iphone photographs!).
They are thought to be the largest lithographs ever made and they really dominate the space.
Its open until the 31st of May, so do come and have a peek if you are local to Kent.
Sometimes I also paint.

Thank you!
In response to your questions it really depends on whether you are using a fujifilm instax mini 8 camera or a camera back (like I did).
If you are using the fujifilm then I can't really comment because I haven't used one! Although I have to say I am very impressed with the instax mini film in general.
If you are using the Diana Instant Back then feel free to fire as many questions my way as you like!
