Mantras are key.

I've found that it's key to have a metaphorical "stash" of mantras (also referred to as "positive affirmations") in your metaphorical "back pocket" just in case you ever need a pick-me-up. (Who doesn't, right?)

Whether you've had a bad day, a bad week...or you're in the middle of a tough workout and your favorite song just isn't doing the trick, just the right mantra can help you push through.

I recently read an article (I can't seem to find it at the moment...grr) that said there was very strong scientific link between mantras with athletic performance. Apparently, repeating something motivating or inspiriting to yourself (over and over...) can keep you focused on pleasant thoughts rather than how challenging your workout is.

I'll try to find that article and post it on the blog.

Anyway...
