Just a few months ago I was living in Brussels, and working from the airport. It breaks my heart to see the devastation and tragedy there today. I am lucky enough to say that, although many of them were there, all my old colleagues are safe. But unfortunately another friend of mine was killed on the metro on her way to work this morning. In the midst of the chaos I just wanted to share a much calmer image of the city, and give my love to everyone who is there.

Sketching in Milan

The Portrait

One of the things I love to create are portraits of people that do not use their faces, my most recent thing is a portrait of myself. The idea is that instead of using an image of a person, I use things that are personal to them, and in this case, the thoughts and ambitions they have at that moment.

Sculpture in Brussels, Part 1. Place Sainte Catherine Part of the Jules Anspach Fountain, originally built in 1897, as a tribute to the city mayor of the same name from 1863-79. It used to stand in the Place de Brouckére but was taken down to make space for the construction of a metro system and re - erected here in 1981.
