I may be crazy, but it just may be a lunatic youâre looking for.

reimi-araki:
âThe July 15 full moon urges you to pay attention to your home sectorâŠâ Reimi spoke the horoscope from the newspaper aloud to herself, trailing off at the end, dropping her Chinese takeout on the floor in front of her. Grabbing her phone with her now free hands, she quickly dialed the only number in her phone. âCâmon câmon câmon câmonâ she whispered as the phone rang. The sound of the other line picking up, a loud âaha!â emerged from the back of her throat. Before Cedric could even make out a greeting, Reimi was already loudly speaking. âHey hi, I need you to come over ASAP, like faster than ASAP, can you teleport? Of course you canât, teleportation hasnât been invented yet. I think your assistant can though. Thatâs weird. So anyway, you need to come over ASAP because my horoscope said that I was going to die today, thanks see you soon, Cedro. Bye bye.â She quickly hung up, not giving him a chance to reply. Shortly after hanging up, her phone lit up. Thatâs not even close to what your horoscope said, however, Iâll be over after I finish all of my work. PS. I told you to stop calling me that. Reimi, furrowed her brow, âIâll take matters into my own hands then.â she stated, puffing her chest out.
âComputer, continue playing my Billy Joel mixâ she said, pushing her chair away from the desk. I can find the buckets, rope, and thumbtacks, in the closet by the front door. She thought to herself, Vegetable oil, butter, water, and molasses in the kitchen, she scratched her head, âFeathers!â She exclaimed, jumping up from her chair and grabbing a pair of scissors and her pillow. Even if the horoscope is wrong, Cedric will come in and get what he deserves. Heading down the hallway to the kitchen, she devised a plan, there was a guest bedroom, two closets, a bathroom, and a kitchen between the front door and her bedroom, sheâll need a trap for all of those rooms. Laying the pillow and the scissors down on one end the island counter, she quickly swiped it clean of all the empty pizza boxes and old Chinese takeout boxes into the trash can. Turning around to the fridge, she pulled out multiple sticks of butter and  opened and unopened containers of molasses, setting them next to the pillow on the counter. âWhoa-oh-oh-oh for the longest time!~â she sang as made her way into the living room closet, opening it just enough for her to reach her arm in so nothing fell out and slid one arm in, grabbing the two buckets, and placing it outside of the door, sliding her arm back in four more times, for some brown rope, an extension cord, fishing line, and a box of thumbtacks.â After retrieving everything, she brought it back into the kitchen.
Iâll use the extension cord for the trap in the living room. So living room first, she thought, tying the extension cord into a circle and grabbing the butter and a handful of thumbtacks and then running into the living room to set it up. âWait how do they set those up? Do they just⊠hang them from a tree branch or the ceiling?â She asked herself, confused. âYeah, I think itâll workâ She said, standing on the back of the couch, thumb-tacking the extension cord to the ceiling. Opening the front door, she rubbed the entire door knob with the stick of butter until it was completely coated but not noticeable to the eye. âWindows next.â She spoke aloud, opening her windows and carefully placing thumbtacks down, pointed side up, and then closing the windows. âAre you doing alright?â a concerned neighbor, asked, standing at the fence that separated the two yards. âhorosCOPE!â Reimi yelled, her voice cracking as she ran back inside, slamming the door behind her.
That was a close one, she sighed to herself. âThat wonât slow me down, onto the kitchen.â She huffed, marching into the kitchen and grabbed the vegetable oil and opened it, pouring the entire bottle out onto the floor, spreading it around with her foot, almost slipping in the process. After wiping her foot off with a hand towel, she grabbed everything else on the counter and headed down the hallway, stopping to set up traps in every room. Bathroom; bucket with water on the door, butter the door knob. Guest bedroom; bucket with molasses on the door, setting up fishing line to turn the fan toward the door, to blow feathers on whoever her victim may be. Both closets with buttered door knobs and thumbtacks thrown around the floor. Finally, she makes it to her bedroom, butter the door knob andâŠÂ she reaches down to her thumbtacks, âuh ohâ she says quietly, realizing she used all of her thumbtacks. âIâm sure they wonât even make it this far.â She reassured herself, walking into her bedroom, stepping on a stray lego on her way to her computer desk. âOwowowowowwwwwâ She whined, falling over, âwho just puts a lego right there?â She asked herself, âWaitâŠ. I doâŠ.â She got an idea. Crawling over to her closet, she pulled out small tote filled with legos and tossed them all over the room. Finally, she was finished. âTry to get past these grade A defenses, murderers.â She exclaimed, avoiding all of the legos and plopping down into her computer chair, sticking her feet up into the chair so she didnât step on the now cold chinese takeout from earlier and turning on her lawn flamingo cameras.
Ace flipped the headlights off and put the car in park. He pulled the keys from the ignition and looked at his stowaway. âYou ready, partner in crime?â He asked, but waited for no response before popping the car door open and putting one boot on the smooth pavement.
After some back-and-forth between the two over whether she had to wear her shoes or not, they both got out of the car. It was a short distance from the car to the front of the house and she followed closely next to Ace, keeping a close eye on the pink birds she thought were watching her back. He was cautious, noting the tacks on the outside of the window. A crude attempt at a trap? He thought as he grabbed the brass doorknob, his hand slipping back off in the greasy substance that coated it. âWhat the everlovingfuck?â He wiped his hands on his black jeans and fished in his bag for his leather gloves.
âWhat are you looking at?â The blonde whispered to the flamingo, unaware it was actually looking at her. Moments passed before she softly spoke again. âI hate you⊠Iâm gonna take those beady eyes out of your head.â
This went on while the man put his gloves on. He tried the knob, and slipped off again. Ace drew in a deep, annoyed breath, before he kicked the door just below the lock. The wood splintered and cracked and the door swung wide open.
âThatâs gonna be you.â She said, pointing to the bird before following into the house.
On the floor, there was a suspicious extension cord attached to the ceiling. It seemed harmless, nonetheless Ace avoided the loop and moved further into the house. Ana, on the other hand, grabbed the length and pulled it loose. âYank.â She shuffled to catch up with Ace before showing him what she found. âLook at this lassoâŠâ
âShh.â His response was short as he walked through the kitchen door. He looked around, stuck to the walls and moved to the walk-in pantry, opening the door and peaking inside.
Ana followed through the door frame, stepping directly into the puddle of oil. Her bare feet slid in the substance and she proceeded to slip around comically for an extended amount of time. She froze, straightened up and carefully made her way onto a carpet mat below the sink where she wiped her feet.
âAre you done?â Ace asked, his voice just louder than a whisper. âHmph.â The girl pouted her lips and turned her face away from him, in response to his question. He kept moving around the kitchen, and back into the living room. Ana, making sure to avoid the oil in the middle of the floor, made her way over to the cabinet and took a look inside. âOhhh!â The girl squealed happily at the sight of the treats in front of her. âWhat would Roman like!?â She pondered to herself before grabbing an empty bag and shoving whatever caught her eye inside. Once she had everything she wanted, she slowly made her way out of the kitchen and followed after Ace.
Ace started down a narrow hallway, stopping at the first door to check. Inside the cool building, the butter was obviously smeared on the handle of this door too. To save from having to deal with that mess again, he used to body weight to break the door open again, taking a blind step into the dark room triggering the bucket to dump the water on the intruder. The water rolled off his leather jacket for the most part, but his normally curly, unkempt hair was now flat to his head. He breathed out, drops of water blowing off his lips as he pushed his hair back as best he could.
âUhhh- I didnât know we could shower while we were hereâŠâ The crazy-haired girl said, confused by the now very wet man, who she was sure was dry just a couple of seconds ago. âHere hold these. Iâm gonna rinse my feet off in the tub.â She said, smushing the snacks in between their bodies a she tried to move past him into the bathroom.
âLetâs just get her and go.â He said, not accepting the bags from her all while not letting her move any further past him. âCan you check that other room?â
Ana nodded, with a âHm.â accepting her mission. She practically skipped across to the next door and grabbed the handle with no hesitation. âEwwwwwwwwww.â She said, wiping her hand on the wall. She looked to Ace, who seemed to be busy with something, so she turned her attention back to the gross door. Putting her hand under her shirt, she turned the door knob and stepped inside. Setting in motion the next trap that was laid. First a bucket of thick molasses. âYuck!â The girl immediately began whining, before feathers flew at her face. âAaaaaaceâŠâ she turned to face him with a pout.
Ace stopped pretending to look around the bathroom and turned his attention to the complaining girl. Unable to stop it, a quiet chuckle escaped his lips. She looked ridiculous, the blonde hair that was typically wild was currently straight from the weight of what seemed to be syrup or molasses, her face was covered in the substance, and feathers were stuck to the sticky stuff. Another quiet laugh came from the man before he moved across the hall, past the girl, and in front of the room. One look inside was enough to spot the many tacks that were piled on the floor. âStay here.â He mumbled before stepping inside. He took a look around, decided the girl was not in there, then left the room with his boots now filled with tacks.
One room left. Ace walked over to it with Ana following close behind. Both of them stopped in front of the door and stared at the knob for a couple seconds, before finally the man reached out and, after some difficulty, managed to get the door open. Ana took a big step backwards, attempting to get out of the way of whatever may fall, while Ace kept his distance as well and very slowly opened the door. After he was sure that nothing was going to happen, he flung the door the rest of the way open, and immediately spotted the girl sitting in her chair.
Simply ignoring the legos spread on the floor, Ace made his way to the girl, flung her over his shoulder, grabbed the laptop with the hand that wasnât holding her and very quickly made his way through the hall and out of the house, with Ana following close behind.
Ana followed Ace out of the house, but while he went straight to the car, she was hesitant to pass the two yard flamingos. She stood there for a brief moment before finally deciding to move. The first thing she did was smack the one on the left down, after that she pulled the other one out of the ground and brought it with her. âIâm gonna light you on fire laterâŠâ she spoke to it quietly before running to the car.
Rather than actually getting into the passenger seat, the blonde just tossed the stupid bird into it and took a seat in the back, which Ace seemed to have thrown the girl into. She smiled brightly at the girl. âThose pranks you set up were really mean!â Ana exclaimed although she didnât actually seem particularly upset about any of them. After all she had actually got to hear Ace laugh for once and she found some pretty cool stuff. She scooted a little closer to the girl, moved like she was going to whisper to her, but actually only slightly lowered her voice at all. âI think heâs mad! You should apologize,â after a couple of seconds she shrugged, âor not. He probably wonât forgive you!â
âSo anyway!â Ana managed to scoot even closer to the other girl and continued, âdo you wanna be friends!?â Taking the girlâs silence to mean yes, the blonde spent the rest of the drive home talking about the flamingo who she considered to be her new enemy.
When they got to where they needed to park the car, Ana made sure to quickly put her shoes on and grabbed the snacks and flamingo before getting out. She waited for Ace to grab the girl and throw her over his shoulder again before beginning to walk. âItâs fun being carried, huh?â She spoke happily. âItâs gonna be so fun with you here! Mhmm!â She said with a nod, this place could do with a few more girls. She talked happily about nothing important for a while before finally settling down. They were getting into the more dangerous area of the valley now, so she knew she had to be quiet or else Ace would get mad at her.
They walked in silence for a while until they got to the street with The Limelight on it: their street. Ana giggled happily, before breaking out into a run. All cautiousness and interest in the other girl and Ace disappearing. She wanted to see Roman now.
Throwing the door to the club open, her eyes scanned the room, and when the blonde spotted him she ran over. âRoman!!!! Look look look what I found!â She said holding the bag of snacks and flamingo out to him.
AJ didnât move from where he was standing, but his eyes traveled towards the girl that Ace, a little roughly, dropped to the floor. She looked petrified and, for the first time since he asked them to bring her here, he felt bad. âReimi,â when he spoke his voice was soft and gentle, âuhm itâs alright. I know what happened was probably scaryâŠbut itâs okayâŠyou donât have to be afraid.â
If you could give a message to your younger self, what would it be?

Reblog this with your characters response to the question.
Easy! Go to the Limelight and meet Roman earlier! Itâd be so fun to know him longer!
Oh! And bring Baba there too! Heâll definitely like the place! Maybe he wonât be so sad if thereâs fun people, like Roman and AJ, to drink with instead of him being all by himself!
I may be crazy, but it just may be a lunatic youâre looking for.

Ace started his trek at dusk. Headed out of The Limelight and towards the road that connects the desert to Sole City. The plan was simple. Get the car, get into Sole City, get the girl, get her back to Roman, and get back to keeping his head down. Sounds simple enough. The trip there took twice as long as it should have. Weaving through locals, abandoned cars and campsites, not to mention just the hazards of the overgrown, decaying city. The car was finally in sight. It was nicer than he imagined it would be. Grey, shiny, windows tinted black, last years model, and it looked fast. Definitely could pass as something that belonged in the city. He reached into his pocket for the key that was given to him by his contact, previously adorned with a keyless entry remote that went missing sometime during the day. He was pretty sure he knew who had it. He let himself into the driverâs side, placed his handgun under the seat, and turned over the key. Billy Joel played quietly from the speakers in the background as he pulled away, the tires kicking up gravel. He knew she wouldnât last quietly too much longer, but he had very little patience for hide and seek. âWhat is this, Driving Miss Crazy?â He said, taking the wheel in one hand and effortlessly tossing his half-full duffel bag into the backseat on top of, what he was supposed to assume, was a pile of lumpy blankets. âFront seat is open, Ana.â
An annoyed huff escaped Anaâs lips. She wasnât sure how long she had actually been hidden in the car, but to her, it felt like hours had passed. The blonde had brought a ton of blankets and made sure to dress for the cool temperatures of the desert night, but she was beginning to get hot covered up with everything. To make matters worse she had curled herself up, making her body as small as possible, in order to be completely hidden, and she was beginning to get all cramped up.
Where is that jerk at? That was the question Ana found herself repeating over and over as she waited. Then she heard it, the sound of the car door opening. Her body tensed up and she took in a deep; silent breath. Either it was Ace who might tell her to go home or it was some looter that was in for the surprise of their life, either way she knew she had to choose the best time to pop out. When the person driving spoke though, Ana squinched up her face. It was definitely Aceâs voice, but was he talking to her? Calling her crazy? Before she could figure it out something heavy landed on her.
âOoof,â she exclaimed loudly as she threw off the bag and rubbed her shoulder that it had landed on. Deciding that her cover was definitely blown she threw the rest of the blankets off, and stretched. âIâll stay right here,â she said with a pout as she crossed her arms childishly. He had ruined everything by finding her so quickly, after having the nerve to make her wait that long to show up, and she wasnât about to go to the front seat if it was a trap. There was no way she was going to be thrown out of this car, not after how long she had stayed hidden.
They drove in silence for a bit and pretty soon the desert seemed to disappear and the city came into view. âOh!â All of her anger was gone and replaced with excitement. âOoooh!â Ana repeated as she moved her small body between the two front seats. She pushed Ace as far as she could out of the way and, while ignoring whatever complaints he mumbled, moved to the passenger seat. Rather than actually sitting down though she leaned all the way forward, up against the dashboard, in order to get the closest view out the front window.
She giggled happily and turned towards Ace. âSo, whereâs our girl!â
