@anakinmoser
probably the saddest part about Laura Moser’s death is that she died thinking Dexter and Brian were gonna suffer the same fate as her
I agree. That poor woman...
Have you considered Soldierlander? (They have that typical destructive and obsessive dynamic, like Brian and Dexter but I would say on another level lol)
I have actually seen only season 1 of The Boys so I never got to see Soldier Boy (even though I have figured out some part of the story through edits and such).
But, from what I've gathered, if I ever continue the show, I know I'll 100% get into that.
I actually think Mosercest is interesting (if it's well-written and not just glorified incest) because, to me, it's more so emotional incest because of how Brian's dependency and obsession with Dexter fueled everything he did in Season 1 and Original Sin
That's exactly how I view it and most other incest ships I enjoy like Wincest, Klelijah and, in its own way despite them not really being related, Coralaw.
In all these pairings there's always one that, despite their best effort, cannot live without the other. The other could have their own life and be happy, and not miss a thing, but that one? They would destroy everything and everybody on their path to get their love back because that's how deep the obsession goes.
Dexter and Brian, where Brian killed, maimed, and staged murders, dated Deb, and so so much more to get Dexter's attention and get him back in his orbit. And when the time came, he accepted his death as long as it was brought on by Dexter.
Klaus and Elijah, where Klaus literally could not function without Elijah, to the point that Vincent literally said that "When it comes to war, there is absolutely no strategist that is as great as Klaus Mikaelson, but he needs his brother as his co-captain. He's got to have Elijah there to rein him in." and Klaus himself referred to Elijah as his lodestar. And they literally died together.
Sam and Dean, where Sam could, in the end, get his own life but dean literally kept Sam's body around for over a week when he died the first time.
Rosinante and Law, where Law knew him for like three years between the ages of 10 and 13, and still then only got closer to him in the last six months of that, to then go on and dedicate his entire life, his crews Jolly Roger and name (The Heart Pirates, because Rosinante's nickname was Corazon, meaning heart), to avenge Rosinante's death.
They all have that deep codependency-fueled obsession/love that I absolutely adore and that's what does me in everytime.
Do you think Brian ever had nightmares about his mom's murder? If Dexter had a whole panic attack from remembering the suppressed memory, imagine what Brian had to go through
I actually think he had plenty of them — because who wouldn't after having witnessed what he witnessed at his age — but he suppressed them when he was brought to the institute to avoid being drugged more.
And maybe, like Dexter, he subconsciously started dismembering people as a way to cope?
I would love for someone to take their spin on this, what do yall think?
Everybody would ship Dexter and Brian if they werent brothers
Everybody shipped Dexter and Brian already, before they found out they were brothers.
It's a known fact in our fandom that the majority of people saw the underlying romance between Dexter and the ITK, only to then completely ignore it and pretend it never was once the reveal happened.
Does anyone in the Dexter fandom care about Isaak or….
the way 6x07 is straight up mosercest filler
if you don't agree explain what is that shirt then
I REALLY want christian to go to a Dexter fan convention, especially since its the 20th anniversary this year
I hope he will for all that have a way to attend the conventions!
I always wanted to go to one but it's either on the other side of the world or too costly for me to attend, but I'm sure whoever has money, time, and the wish to go, would be so so happy to have Christian attend one.
I hate it when I see Dexter larpers spamming Brian Moser stickers in the comments of Christian's videos when he's passionately talking about his farm. There's no way it doesn't get a little bit annoying for him seeing the same stickers over and over again when he's chilling in his farm
I have to admit I don't like that either.
I'm the kind of guy who usually likes an actor for one specific role (take for example my favourite actor, Tom Hardy, who I like all the roles of, but Alfie Solomons has a special place in my heart) but this thing I see people doing where they make that one character the actor's entire personality is just a big no for me.
Like my example, Alfie is my baby. I love that man with all my heart. But if I got the chance to meet Tom Hardy in real life I would ask him about his passions, the last book he read, his dogs, his motorcycles, the meaning behind his tattoos, etc... Like, Alfie would be an afterthought even though I love him so much. This because I love Tom Hardy as Tom Hardy first and his characters second or as entire separate beings from him.
And with Christian it's the same thing. I like him for his personality, his farm, his dog, and the things he talks about. Sure I loved him as Brian, but that would be the last thing I'd comment about on a post made byy Christian about his farm or Garth or anything else he's currently interested in because I can imagine what it would be like to be on the other side of the comment.
Sadly though I know the comments will remain the same for the years to come, so I can just hope that Christian learns to ignore them and keeps on with teaching us stuff about farming and all.
Is it okay that i don't ship mosercest but i still like you because you talk a lot about hayden christensen and christian camargo?
That's more than okay!
You don't have to agree or like everything that I post. As long as you find something you like here you're welcome to stay and give your own spin on subjects and things I say/post about!
In fact, if you have any considerations, thoughts, or anything you wanna share or talk about regarding Hayden and Christian or in general anything else you see me posting about, know that I'm always here and — albeit it may take a while on my side to answer cause I'm not always online — the moment I'm back I'll be more than happy to chat!
i just realized that Christian worked with John Lithgow on a stage play in 2008, and it might be the closest thing we'll get to seeing Brian Moser and Arthur Mitchell together
Yeah, I saw that too a while back and was surprised! Safe to say it's an interesting thing that happened (and I also thought it was from earlier, like 2002 or something cause Christian looked so young in the clips of him signing autographs outside the place).
i always thought christian camargo would've made a great william afton if matthew lillard wasn't available
Oh, that I never thought about but damn you're right Anon!
They are both so suited for William!
i really don't understand why christian didn't take off as an actor. He was really good in Dexter, K-19, Penny Dreadful, and See, but he wasn't casted in anything as big as Dexter was. It's good seeing him finally get the recognition and praise he deserves, and I hope he gets to star in more projects
Totally agree. Man is an amazing actor in all that he's been in which makes me wonder if maybe he kind of reacted to having played Brian the same way Hayden Christensen reacted to having played Anakin: enjoying it for a couple of years and then disappearing on his farm.
I completely adore Christian's fandom on here and everybody's dedication to dig up old/lost pics and videos of him.
I hope he gets to star in more projects too!
