"Two Ugly Hearts"
Did a little valentines thing. Also, it provided a good excuse to draw swamp monsters. Happy Valentines day my precious few, thanks for all the support.

"Two Ugly Hearts"
Did a little valentines thing. Also, it provided a good excuse to draw swamp monsters. Happy Valentines day my precious few, thanks for all the support.
"Tumbleweed"
I am loving my progress with paints. I probably spent an hour psyching myself up to paint this after the pencil sketch…I haven’t drawn anything in over a week.
"Curbside"
Really feeling the men’s fashion illustration thing. though I doubt if left to my own devices I would come up with anything decent. This is a portrait of another instagramer eddieotero. Loved the pose, loved the denim, not to mention the sweet kicks.
"Cold Hands"
Quick sketch in my moleskin. Didn’t know where I was going with this one but it was good practice for drawing hands.
"Blue"
Portrait of mens fashion blogger Nathan McCallum (@isnathan). I love his style and I needed practice with dudes so tada!
"Bite me" Experimenting with a new style that I think I’m going to keep working on. I’m not fully satisfied with this one but I really like how her pose turned out. Maybe I’ll use paints instead of markers…more mess though *sighs*.
"Mess"
Another website illustration. I have 23 in total to do so there are going to be a lot of these. Not sure if I’ll post all of them. She’s clearly artist girl, and I like her shirt.
"Fertility"
Another illustration for a client's website. I've been powering through these and procrastination has been at an all time low. I had to do a pregnant girl and all I could think about was Elizabeth Banks' monologue on how terrible the experience is so I kinda went all "magical sonogram" with it.
"Music in my blood"
Another illustration for a website. Client said she wanted a “Melody Girl”, I think she was expecting me to go in a sweeter direction but she was really excited about this one.
"Movie buff"
I’ve been doing a series of girls for a website. She’s supposed to be the movie buff girl and I figured she should look like someone who’d be into all kinds of movies so I kinda slopped on the quirk.
"Simply Manna"
Illustration I did for a client to put on tshirts for their kickstarter. Honestly, had no idea where this one was going. Originally, I wanted to paint it in mossy kinda organic tones but I remembered the client wanted bright, trippy, jewel tones just as I was wetting my brushes.
"Artist Problems"
I find it really hard to talk about my work, I draw a lot of different things and I don’t want to come across as pretentious and the whole thing is just a suffocating awkward mess that I want to slowly slink away from…leaving no witnesses behind.
"Flaming Water"
My obsession with redheads seems to have no ending in sight. I got the eyes right for once (an almost unobtainable feat when I try to draw perfect, ethereal faces), no bland dead fish gaze here.
"Cool Kids"
Sketch from my moleskin. Got the idea from a Lisa Simpson post that’s been floating around.
"Undead Ballet"
A tentative foray into digital art. I used an ipad sketching app for this. Makes colors a lot easier but line work frustrating…and I am a stickler for line quality. I still prefer traditional art, but I am definitely going to keep experimenting.
"Tulle"
Quick-ish sketch for practice. I think I’m starting to stylize fabric rendering to a point of invisibility
"Frustrated"
Experiencing a little lack of inspiration, also everything I draw just looks like poo. So I Lemongrabbed.
