Cruelty can be spilled out like paint on a beautiful piece of art, ruining and damaging a work of priceless value.
When we have been hurt, it can cause our hearts to become ugly and retaliate in ways that are harmful to others. It is in the mess of life’s pain that we must have the grace of Christ, never allowing the cruelty of another to infect the love that Jesus has planted in us. May we look to him when words have to spoken over us, may we remember that love won long before hate had a chance.
No matter what is said to us, we have been told through word and deed that we are loved beyond what we will ever truly understand. In this truth, we bloom and show the world that hate can never ruin the masterpiece that God has designed within us.
