    ☁︎｡⋆｡  Chrissy felt a bump and the next thing she knew, her footing stumbled and she was sitting in a snow drift, looking up at Eddie. (He was laughing rather innocently, teasing her, as she just stared up and kept allowing herself to get soaked.) “Eddie,” she gasped, tone a little chastising. Normally, she would get up and continue with what they were doing. However, if that’s how Eddie was going to play at things, Chrissy would cause a little mischief as well! “Can you help me up?” She made sure to look up at him through her eyelashes, her blue eyes wide. And when his hand gripped hers, Chrissy yanked as hard as she could to pull him into the snowdrift with her. “Oops.”

Oh, he should know better. He should sense the trap coming, but one look at her baby blues through thick lashes and Eddie’s falling over himself to help her up. No apologies falling, lips still curved in something mischievous and boyish, but the rest of him fallen under her spell. So thick  and lost in the sauce that he doesn’t even think about the strength that she has from all those gymnastics and cheerleading - until it’s too late. 

It’s with a (very manly) yelp, that he falls into her and the snow. Betrayed by the sweetness of her appearance, and a strange never ending crush. A mouth full of snow as he sputters and rolls away. Sinking deeper into the snowdrift as he coughs out ice cold water, and shakes snowflakes from his hair before giving up and just flopping back uselessly. “Chrissy the Cruel,” He bemoans playfully. “I should have known better than to trust a Queen.”

“I don’t know what constitutes a good haul. This is actually the first time I’ve been able to go out.” She pulls her mask off, in part because she’ll decide this is the last spot she’ll visit for the night and in part because she wanted to get the best look she could at the costume. And of course, it was wonderful as the glimpses she caught suggested. “Oh, dude. I can’t get over how cool your roller skates are. How cool would it be if she had skates the whole time instead of those slippers, can you imagine? Zooming all over the yellow brick road … would probably be a lot shorter of a film, actually.” The Wizard of Oz had been one of the very few pieces of media able to slip through her parents strict filters, somehow and she’d always enjoyed it, so it was so cool to see someone put the care into handmaking a costume with their own personal touches woven into it — and so cool to have a topic that could actually be related to speak on. “Can I hang out for a bit?” Head tilts with a shake of her pillow case and a smirk. “You’re out of candy anyway, time to close up, right?”

“Your first time?” It’s not the first time she’s heard of such a thing, Birdie herself having been restricted from Halloween candy crawls since her sister had died, and mostly forbidden from taking free candy from strangers, but it’s always terrible to hear about it. A look of understanding overtaking her features as she smiles softly. “Well, you just got all of the treats I personally purchased, so that’s a good haul in my opinion. No hard old lady candies, or weird apples.”

Her look of understanding shifts at the compliment, sunkissed cheeks flushing a vibrant shade of red under the unforgiving library lights. “Oh, I - Thank you. I made them myself.” Balanced carefully, she sticks out one of her legs, turning her false gem encrusted roller skate this way and that. Light catching in the little pieces of red plastic. “I mean, it might have been a much longer film actually. Roller skates on brick roads is kind of an awful ride...” She shrugs, and then grins at the question. “Yeah, but you can stay afterhours if you want. I don’t have any place to be tonight so... It’d be nice to have the company.”

good morning. a blog update is under the cut.

i am not abandoning this blog, but things are going to be slow over here for longer than expected. i am severely depressed due to some real life things that i have no control over, and yanno, some good ol’ family guilt conditioning. i am getting help for this depression, and have upped my antidepressants. but this shit makes me tired, all of it, so things are going to be more sporadic until i get settled again.

that being said, no threads are being dropped and today i’m going to try to plop out what i can without forcing anything. i really do appreciate you all for sticking with me through all of this, it literally was just really bad timing for me to open a new mumu and then, uh, shit to hit the fan so quickly.
