She nodded. “That’s actually kind of a brilliant plan. Good looking out.”
“If I’d known, I would have made it a towel day too. That’d be super plush.” Ana chuckled lightly.

She nodded. “That’s actually kind of a brilliant plan. Good looking out.”
“If I’d known, I would have made it a towel day too. That’d be super plush.” Ana chuckled lightly.
“Hey, whatever floats your boat, dude. If you wanna wear rainbow clown shoes, than do it. Fuck it, right?”
“True. I don’t think I’d really wear clown shoes, let alone rainbow ones though. But anyone who wants to should go for it. Agreed.”
“I’m all for making new friends, but from my experience that’s a lot easier said than done.”
“I totally get that. I’m pretty sure meeting new people is hated by most people. And new people would mean new friends.”
“Just don’t go waste it on a fucking Reese’s. That shit’s offensive.”
“What about a Hershey’s bar?”
“You should give it a try! You can have mine if you’d like.”
While she knew it was only a cart and she was incredibly unlikely to get hurt in it, she shook her head. “Not right now I don’t think. Maybe once I have some clothes as cushioning.”
“Hell, I don’t care what they look like. As long as they do their job, then that’s that, man.”
“Right? Like, I’ll get the nicest colors that are available on my nice and comfy shoes. But that’s about it.”
“I dunno. This gut of mine has gotten me into some trouble. So, if I end up getting killed by this girl, you’ll have to live with the guilt.”
“I believe my ultimate side was on the ditching the number and running for the hills. I was just also saying, some people get excited when meeting new people.”

“Oh no, I was kidding, baby. I promise!” Francis replied almost immediately, before jumping off the couch and almost tackling Ana down to the floor with a hug. “Your food’s the best, you know that.” He murmured as an apology, not ready to let go just yet. “What were you making again? Everything else can wait for a while.”
“Easy, easy!” Ana managed to brace herself against the counter as Francis came to give her the hug. She’d gone for a fairly long walk earlier in the day, but wasn’t about to tell Francis that. “I knew you were kidding, now I feel like I’m an amazing actor.” Grinning, she puffed out her chest slightly. “I’m making steak. It’s almost done. And I’m hoping for a million star review.”
“God, same! I used to own the skating rink as a kid, but now the only thing I can ride is Monica Lewinsky here.” she said, referring to her skateboard. “You should try one, though. They’re much easier than attempting to figure out those evil little torture devices.”
“I was never great to begin with. I don’t know why I tried.” Biting her lip slightly, she risked a glance up at the woman again. “I will gladly try one if I can manage to survive this terror.” She couldn’t even motion to her feet for fear of falling over.
“Oh… Um…” The question, however innocent, still managed to make her heart flutter; even if she knew that the fear was unjustified. There was no way anyone here could know anything about what transpired before coming to America, and she had calmed herself down considerably before looking back towards her with a smile; slowing her pace to walk alongside her. “– School, mostly. I’ve only looked at a handful of schools in America before I went and I simply fell in love with Woodsboro. It’s charming.” Katon leaves it at that , shifting the strap of her shoulder bag. “How about you?”
Hands in her pockets she walked along side Katon as she waited for a response. “That’s amazing. Well, welcome. What are you studying?” Ana understood the love of Woodsboro. It was a beautiful town, and she couldn’t imagine being anywhere else. At the question, Ana remembered the flash of the car’s headlights and felt a pang in her back. “Nothing really. I love it here. And I’ve got a few friends here. Seemed like a good place to relocate to.”
“Don’t worry, sometimes it takes me a minute to remember where I’m going too.” She smiles in a friendly manner, taking a step towards her after rising from the bench, gesturing in a direction. “Follow me! – My name is Katon.”
Ana smiled back at the woman. “Oh, I’m Ana. It’s a pleasure to meet you, Katon.” Relieved that she had found some help from someone who wasn’t just going to laugh at her, she followed the woman. “What brings you to Woodsboro?”
“Seriously? Maybe my feet are fucked up or something, but new shoes always make my feet hurt. I get gnarly blisters and everything. It’s pretty gross.”
“Or it could be me. I never get shoes that are too tight. And I don’t have many heels. So that could be it. I know my friends have had shoes that just hurt. I don’t understand getting shoes that hurt just because they’re pretty.”
“Yeah, dude, I’m not about that clingy life. At least not with strangers. Like, sure, okay, maybe she’s nice, but she also seems terrifying.”
“True, she could just be trying to get to know you more. But if she’s giving you terrifying vibes, it’s better to lose connection. Always go with your gut.”
“Just to make sure to buy something good. Don’t waste it.”
“It’ll be good to me, does that count? I don’t really know what you like.”
Andie shrugged a shoulder before hopping out of the cart. “I think anything can be fun if you have the right attitude about it.”
“I agree, really. I might not always have the right attitude, but most things can be fun as long as you know how to handle it.” Though she could think of a few things that weren’t. “But the cart looked fun.”
