this is why I love Garrus tbh, that sort of dry and unexpected humor
you can always count on him to say something funny at the best/worst time possible

guy who keeps drawing turians puts another on your dash
some art for a character in indigo's background. im giving it the Ole big rework! this badass freckled twink is Aeron (he/they)
pov you're Kaidan and you have a conspiracy board in your quarters about how your gf maybe faked her death to willingly join terrorists???
Vega, don't trigger a biotic...
The audacity of Kaidan Alenko in a hospital bed with two black eyes and bruises down to his jawline being like “we’re good after Horizon right? By the way I’m single” like Shepard has two wolves inside her and of course one of them is like “I never stopped loving you baby even for a second” but the other one is like “THIS FUCKING GUY”
i’m insufferable and i’m NOT sorry
You know what, this is driving me a bit crazy, this trade language which is everywhere and how LITTLE we know about this
The first picture is from Horizon so that I can show a clear image, but you can see it being used on Tuchanka, Sur'Kesh, etc and in different games as well, right? So it is everywhere from ME1 to ME3
And it bothers me a bit that some planets (ahem, Tuchanka!!!) won't show us a different language but then again, perhaps it's entirely linked to translators.
But the second image on the left: what we see on the Collector ship which I think might show either pure Collector language, or Prothean, or a hybrid version?
and the third image on the right: it's hard to tell at first, I thought it was like a mix of Collector and trade language, now I think it's just the translator of the data found in the first image as EDI is data-mining and a lot of information appears on screen:
Happy Birthday Shepard
AU where while in the middle of Garrus' loyalty mission you find out that Sidonis is already dead. Maybe someone else killed him, or he got sick and died, or he just tripped and fell and died instantly. Either way, Shepard now has to contend with Garrus' reaction to being "denied" his revenge
it’s be interesting to see how that would play out #hunt down the person who killed sidonis? #learn more why sidonis betrayed garrus and co?
Good questions because the way I approached this situation is a bit different
In my head, the mission plays out normally: Garrus finds out who's responsible for forging a new identity for Sidonis, so he gets Shepard to come and help him meet Fade. Maybe he's in more of a hurry this time, like if they dawdle then it gives Sidonis more time to disappear
So you fight your way to Fade, find Harkin, and Harkin tells you the truth: Sidonis is dead. Garrus tries to figure out why, but even Harkin doesn't know. In fact, you never find out how he died. He's just dead
Actually tbh, maybe nobody killed him. Like I said before, he probably died a mundane death that involved an illness or simply tripping and falling on his head
I think of it as a subversion, because the loyalty mission is already similar to the mission in ME1: Garrus is trying to find a guy that did wrong, but also personally wronged Garrus for getting away from him. He uses whatever resources he has to find him. So in this situation, unlike ME1, where you find him and he dies by your hand, you try to find him, and then find out he's already dead in ME2
You never really know Sidonis' side of the story until you meet him and let him talk about it. The most you know is what Garrus told you. But I think whether Shepard knows or doesn't know about what Sidonis actually did is relevant here. Shepard makes the choice of getting in Garrus' way to delay the shot, which is before Sidonis gives you his side of the story
The point is that it's not solely about "If I kill this guy, things will be better forever," it's also about "I think I am personally responsible for this guy that got away from me, and if I kill this guy personally things will be better forever". Well guess what. The guy's already dead because of something you didn't even know about. So what now? Are things better? Garrus? Hello? Are you there? [Insert entire scene of the aftermath here]

I think I'm improving on how I draw Garrus. So yay. Looks like I'm starting a ME series of fanart.
