I always felt them meeting under cherry blossoms is so underrated in the Shakarian fandom

i will always like the levo–dextro chirality thing, honestly. it doesn’t really matter to me how scientifically accurate it is or isn’t. i like that they put in something to create tension between different species beyond the cultural… show how alien they are to each other… something to give cross-species relationships more risk and more weight. there’s just always going to be things in science fiction that are there for the narrative, the fiction rather than the science. when it serves a good narrative purpose then i am more than willing to suspend my disbelief and respect that creative choice. in this specific case, it’s not particularly fleshed-out in canon and i will absolutely ‘fix’ some things about it, put a more realistic spin on it, but i don’t think i’ll ever write fic where i rectify it out of existence even if it would make some stuff less complicated. that’s just my personal thoughts on it though, i think it’s fine to feel differently about it. i’ve just never seen my take on it expressed

Here’s the altered versions of Shaelok and Thrax’s ID photos for Sorahk 🫶 I think giving Shaelok a poison-dart-frog-look was more fitting for his character! Also, the two triangles painted on Thrax’s crest are Ravanor’s clan markings, depicting the mountains that cover the territory. Thank you to @neonbutchery for suggesting the kind of tattoos I should give Thrax! 💜
