I had roughed this one out originally to have these two madly making out while Kristoff was turned the other way, distracted by something…but it didn’t feel right with me. Next best brainstorm was an end of movie ‘what if?’ kiss. What if she snuck onto the ship to see him one last time? It’s kind of bittersweet and sad.

You can always tell when an author is trying to "deconstruct" something that they think is stupid or boring or otherwise beneath them because they're unwilling or unable to develop the necessary understanding of the source material to properly rip into it and the end result invariably fucking sucks.
