Anyone else ever open their game after updating and get a jumpscare when you forgot to re-install Sunblind? Like, why is everything so damn blue in the vanilla game?

Italian Hotel WIP

If I could ever get my lots to save without timing out, this luxury hotel is incoming...

I have revamped several times. I always have to squash my urge to make everything pastel-colored and embrace the bold, Renaissance-inspired color schemes. I have reworked this floor plan probably 10x now, and I'm finally satisfied with the layout. It has three standard rooms and one grand tower suite with a terrace... lots of luxe touches. Three (!) bars, a pool, and sea views! I wish this hotel existed in real life.

I do not! I find it easier to host my work in tray files here, because I use a lot of CC in my builds. Everything I create to be shared, is shared here on my tumblr :)

hiii!!! i love your builds and i'm glad i found them. just one question: which file is the one for the interior doors in Highclere Castle? I'm pretty sure I downloaded everything except for the ones from Aggressivekitty, but the interior doors are missing :') thank you!

Sure - there are several interior doors used, all are from Felixandre's Estate sets (the Georgian doors in medium and short) and there are also interior arches and doors from his Gothic Revival Exterior set. I don't believe any other doors are used but let me know if some are still missing! Edit: the interior Gothic arches used in the saloon/gallery are also from the Cowplantbebop Castle Estate Add On set - they look exactly like the EA ones, but in different sizes!

Royal Residence Shell Series · Downton Abbey (Highclere Castle) · 64x64 · CC Links

Well, the time is here! I spent some time significantly reworking my Downton build to accurately reflect the floor plan of the real Highclere castle (as much as possible, anyway) while including an altered version of a servants' wing so you can live out your best Downton fantasy. First off, Highclere is massive. The floorplan is condensed as a result - with the limit of 4 floors and a 64x64 lot, there's only so many spaces you can include. The ground floor is essentially what you see in the show... while I've had to get more creative with the servant spaces. The lack of basement windows and limit on floors means that the servants wing is now a separate cluster of buildings rather than a raised basement area - as at the real Highclere - but I think I have most of the basics from the show covered (the servant areas were filmed at a studio set anyway). This website was absolutely essential for my understanding of the floor plan! It's a great resource.

Royal Shells WIP

I'm having a lot of fun with these shells - often, decorating the exterior is my favorite part of the build and sharing them unfurnished inside is much quicker for me, as I really agonize over the interiors and sharing CC links is usually a hefty job!

I'm a list-type person, so right now I have quite a large list for this series - I'll be recreating some popular styles (English Georgian, French Chateau, straight fantasy) in addition to some lesser-seen ones such as Baltic, Central European, Maltese, Greek, etc. But, for my next release - something I've been teasing forever now - a Highclere Castle/Downton Abbey shell! So glad this fits in with the theme <3

I may even extend the series to include Royal Community lots (theater, park, pavilion, museum....)

If you have suggestions for a royal palace, castle, etc that you'd like to see as a shell build, send it my way or comment here!

Royal Residence Shell Series · Moorish Alcazar · 50x50 · CC Links

This palace is of course inspired by the Alhambra, incorporating some traditional fortress elements with beautiful Moorish Islamic architecture. The entire front of the palace functions as a more public space, while the rear half is where the ruler and their family have their more private spaces.

Royal Residence Shell Series · Elizabethan Estate · 64x64 · CC Links

This shell is fully decorated on the outside and blank except for door placement/stairs on the interior. The build is Elizabethan in style, inspired by English country houses such as Wollaton Hall and Burghley House built during the late 16th/early 17th centuries during the reign of Elizabeth I. Could be the perfect ducal seat for your Henford aristocracy!

I recommend browsing sets from @felixandresims, @anachrosims, @thejim07, and @lilis-palace as these creators are known for their beautiful historical build/buy content! Suggested floor plan above - wherever you see a 4-tile length bump out in the wall, that's where I'd put a fireplace.

Royal Residence Shells incoming!

Haven't posted in a while, but in honor of the recent Royalty & Legacy release I will be posting a series of builds (unfurnished, ready for your personal touch!) in the style of royal and aristocratic estates! Palaces, manors, and castles in a variety of styles from around the world, with a suggested floor plan for each.

Shell builds are quite simple for me, so expect these to drop quickly!

Beach Club WIP

I looove this concept. Building a house on this Tartosa beach lot seems weird, but a beach club makes sense. The only difficulty is choosing a color palette - ultimately I wanted yellow and green, and who knows, maybe I'll return to that scheme, but for now this one is 'The Orange Grove.' On one side, cocktails, on the other, an espresso bar!

I'm still here!

Took a long break from the Sims due to travel over the holiday season. Now that I'm back, I've been getting some Tartosa inspiration, mainly from watching the Netflix 'Leopard' series - it's excellent and full of dreamy locations from around Italy.

I've been refining an Italian boutique hotel build, and will probably also prep my Italian abbey/church for a wedding venue for release. If you have ideas of what kind of lots you'd like in Tartosa, send me a message or reply!

Bramblewood Hall: A Scots Baronial Estate

Bramblewood Hall is a grand Scots Baronial estate located in Henford-on-Bagley. Finished with beautiful wainscoting and Highland-inspired touches, the property includes eight spacious bedrooms, seven and a half baths, a library, conservatory, courtyard, lovingly cultivated gardens, game larder, and separate staff cottage.

Wow, did it take me a while to do this one... but I absolutely love it. I could probably renovate this one for a long time... in the folder below, you'll find links to the tray files (both furnished and unfurnished), my CC used is included as well. Be sure to open the Readme file for CC and packs required!

Where I am...

Hello! I'm still here! I've been workshopping various builds, getting back to my historical roots. I know I've teased the Downton Abbey build (massive) and the Avonlea World (also massive) so I've been taking a few breaks here and there going back to them ensure I'm not burnt out. The Downton build itself may change to an unfurnished one due to how big it is and how onerous of a process it is to share out CC links for individual items used - I think I have about 100GB of CC, which is great for me and for recreating a specific look, but not so great when I have to meticulously chart and share links for sets and spell out which pieces are used. So it takes a while, and easier share a build unfurnished and allow you all to decorate with as little or much CC as you have for the bigger lots.

That being said, a recent poll I did confirms folks are looking for some Italian historical stuff, which I absolutely love. So I may focus on that for a bit. Right now I'm working on an unfurnished monastery that can be used for a wedding or vineyard or historical gameplay! I've also been on a massive train kick, so train station may be coming (although the lot orientations and limitations make it so jarring to build anything that has to 'connect' to an outside element like train tracks). I would love, love a CAW that functions to better integrate our lots with the world around them.

Anyway, share your ideas and suggestions!

Rejoice, historical cottagecore lovers!

In early planning stages... but I'm on an Anne kick now, and even if you're not a fan, this will have some pretty pastoral Victorian content for you!

Obviously this isn't a great exact approximation for the world of Avonlea, and I may end up swapping some lots around or changing the town ones, but I'm excited about it.

Now, if only we had a real Create-a-World!
