Miss New York Nia Imani Franklin Has Won the Miss America Pageant

A classical vocalist whose pageant platform is “advocating for the arts,” Franklin sang an operatic selection from the opera La Boheme.

She won a $50,000 scholarship along with the crown in the first Miss America pageant to be held without a swimsuit competition.

Some people don’t understand how big this is, opening a school, especially a public one is a huge undertaking and even with LeBron money it’s costly.

Just to clear things up

- When black people say stop taking our braids, we’re not talking about french braids. We are talking about BOX BRAIDS, CORNROWS, ETC.

- When black people say “Black Lives Matter” we are not saying “ONLY black lives matter” we are saying “black lives matter TOO” so get out of that mentality.

The lady who climbed the Statue of Liberty on July 4th was Congolese immigrant and activist Therese Patricia Okoumou

She was protesting ICE, and she’s quite plainly an icon for doing this.

She’s being held at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in NYC, however Rise and Resist—her affiliate organization has her a lawyer and is working with her.

Summer vagina tips🍓

- staying in a wet bathing suit breeds bacteria causing vaginal infections. Change out of wet bottoms as soon as possible

- thongs will spread bacteria from your anus to your vagina especially when you’re sweaty so try not to wear them.

- wearing no panties is super ideal but for some of us it’s just not realistic and you just feel too moist so wear COTTON panties
