Louie Restaurant Paris-based design studio Violaine & Jeremy have created the visual identity for Louie Restaurant. Louie, which draws on several eras for inspiration, is named after Louis XIV and Louie Armstrong, invoke the soul of New Orleans, the sophistication of Paris, and the sass of a New Yorker, all set on London’s stage, housed on the old L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon site in Covent Garden. The interiors at Louie have been designed by Dion & Arles, from the retro-patterned carpets to the gold corduroy upholstery to the gleaming copper bar. The food is overseen by acclaimed chef Slade Rushing, a James Beard-nominated figure who left New Orleans restaurant Brennan’s last May. He will journey guests to the crossroads of New Orleans creole gastronomy, French cuisine and the culinary heritage of New York City.
