Positivi-Tea!
For the annon who asked for types of tea to drink in witchcraft.
There are lots of amazing herbs to use for tea that have so many benefits physically and spiritually but please please please be careful. Do more research and remember not all herbs are food grade
I will only be talking about teas that I am familiar with. They are quite common and you shouldn’t have difficulty finding them. I have made my own tea out of herbs I’ve grown but that’s a post for another day.
Green Tea
Green tea has been used medicinally for centuries. It is known to prevent cancer, reduce risk of stroke, reduce ldl cholesterol (the bad one), boost metabolism and is used for weight loss, improve brain function and prevent Alzheimer’s, prevents heart disease, good for your teeth and kills bacteria, and its proven to help you live longer. Its magical properties are equally abundant. Green tea is used for all kinds of healing magic, used for longevity, brings wealth and can be used in money spells, great for love spells and improves sexual performance, boosts energy, banishes negativity so its great for cleansings.
Black Tea
Black tea is something to turn to when you need a pick me up. Its the most caffeinated of the teas I’m mentioning, not as much a coffee but still a decent amount. It’s full of antioxidants, prevents cancer, reduces risk of stroke, improves gut health, boosts heart health, can reduce blood sugar levels and blood pressure, helps to regulate diabetes, improves focus. It can be used in witchcraft for so many different things. Drink it for courage, banishes boredom, brings wealth and can be used in money spells, stimulates the mind, and its just a great tea to drink if you’re feeling a but down and need a little boost.
Chamomile Tea
A lovely tea to drink for a good night’s sleep and sweet dreams but it also has so much more to offer. Chamomile harnesses the energy of the sun which helps promote healing and banishes negativity. It relieves stress and anxiety, helps an upset stomach, and is truly one of the best cures for a hard time sleeping or bad dreams. On nights when you feel anxious, need to protect yourself from some type of darkness looming, or just need a little self care and relaxation Chamomile is the way to go.
Peppermint Tea
Peppermint is such a great thing. I’ve been drinking peppermint tea medicinally since I was little. It’s great for stomach aces, soothing headaches, great to drink when you’re feeling a bit anxious, and lovely for sore throats (when my throat is sore I can’t eat almost an entire tin of Altoids, mint really helps). It’s abundant in spiritual benefits too. It brings good luck, banishes negativity while promoting positive thinking, it is said to repel vampires, it’s great for bringing inspiration and clearing the mind, and promotes overall physical and spiritual healing. Definitely one to keep in the pantry!
Hibiscus Tea
Hibiscus tea is a beautiful, tart floral tea that tastes similar to cranberry juice, but its lovely all year. Its full of antioxidants, prevents cancer, improves liver health, fights bacteria, and its a natural diuretic. Hibiscus attracts love, lust, passion, and divination. Great to drink for a love spell, used to cause prophetic dreams, and it can be used in wedding ceremonies.
Ginger Tea
A hot cup of ginger tea might just be the best thing on a cold winter night. Ginger tea is wonderful for relieving nausea, great for gut health, fights respiratory issues, reduces inflammation, strengthens immune system, relieves period cramps, reduces stress, and its packed with vitamin C and magnesium. Ginger is great for attracting love and passion. Draws wealth, success, and prosperity.
Lemon Balm Tea
I grow lemon balm all summer, you can just put fresh leaves into water and let them steep. I really recommend it. Lemon balm is used to treat stress and anxiety, indigestion, heartburn, cold sores, and insomnia. It can be used in love spells, fertility spells, to help ease depression and anxiety. Lemon Balm brings calm, happiness, longevity, love, success, youthfulness, its great for psychic development, and keeping the mind working smoothly. It is often associated with the moon. Lemon Balm is said to be sacred to the temple of Diana.

🍁 Soda Bread for Lughnasadh/Lammas 🍂
Happy Lughnasadh everyone! I hope everyone had a wonderful day. This was my first year celebrating Lughnasadh as I didn't have the chance to previously. I wanted to delve into the tradition of baking bread for the first harvest and that's what I did.
Many of you may not know this but Lughnasadh is actually an Irish word meaning August (spelling can vary slightly) . I was raised in Ireland from childhood and still live here today and part of that means I learned Irish since I was 7 years old. As difficult a language as it may be its really special in many ways and helps to better understand the country's celtic nature. Many Irish words can be seen on the wheel of the year, not only Lughnasadh but also Samhain (meaning November) and Bealtaine (meaning May).
Due to this I wanted to bake a bread traditional to Ireland, soda bread.
What you will need:
~ 450g plain flour, plus extra for dusting
~ 1 tsp salt
~ 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
~ 320ml buttermilk
- Preheat the oven to 220°C/ 425°F . Slightly grease your baking tray with butter.
- Stir in all the dry ingredients in a bowl. Make a dip in the centre of the dry ingredients and pour in the buttermilk. Mix well with hands, the dough should be soft but not wet, if you find that the dough is sticking too much to your fingers add more flour, if you feel the dough is too dry and floury add a little more buttermilk. Adjust the dough accordingly.
-Turn out the dough into a floured surface and kneed into shape approx 20cm/8-inches round.
- Place the bread onto the baking tray and cut a cross into the top of the dough (not too deep) , this does not have to be a cross in my case it was a sun symbol, you may customise as you wish
-Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes
- Finally serve in slices with butter and a sweet or savoury topping
I hope you enjoy the bread if you give it a try let me know and I'd love to hear about any recipes you've tried for Lughnasadh so I can give them a go next year!
I wish you all a wonder Lughnasadh and an even better day. Thank you for reading and blessed be!

Litha Moodboard:
“And so with the sunshine and the great bursts of leaves growing on the trees, just as things grow in fast movies, I had that familiar conviction that life was beginning over again with the summer.”
Kupala Night - old Slavic celebration. It relates to summer solstice. Many of the rites related to this holiday within Slavic religious beliefs, due to the ancient Kupala rites, are connected with the role of water in fertility and ritual purification. On Kupala day, young people jump over the flames of bonfires in a ritual test of bravery and faith. The failure of a couple in love to complete the jump while holding hands is a sign of their destined separation. Girls may float wreaths of flowers (often lit with candles) on rivers, and would attempt to gain foresight into their relationship fortunes from the flow patterns of the flowers on the river. Men may attempt to capture the wreaths, in the hope of capturing the interest of the woman who floated the wreath.

Kitchen Witch 🍁 Singed hair, smells of lavender and rosemary, apron dresses, tea rituals, organized hearth & home, herbs in many different places, the melodious singing as they tend to their herb garden, needle & thread becoming intertwined as they sew runes into blankets, pillows, clothes, and other materials.
Augury Witch 🍁 The scratching of a pen as they scribble down their findings, a pang of pain as they pore over signs and omens, the yowl of a black cat, the clicking of the clock as it moves ever so quickly, a mind full of wisdom and knowledge.
Faery Witch 🍁 The sound of feet padding down the forest floor, a bubbling stream, the flap of a robin’s wings, a soft smile, a gentle caress of nature, the mouthed words of greetings & goodbyes, illustrations of faeries and the spirits of the forest.
Green Witch 🍁 The sound of wind chimes, the rustle of leaves as the wind gently caresses them, wooden bowls of berries and fruits left on the stump of a tree, the friendly call of nature, a pentagram made from stray sticks, the smell of grass and bark, a crafty nature caked in respect and solace.

Crescent Moon Cookies Recipe 🌛
Hello! I wanted to share a recipe with you all for a relatively easy sweet treat that is great for any occasion whether it be ritual, esbats, sabbats, for yourself or others. These crescent moon cookies are also a great home made gift.
The inspiration behind this recipe came from the tradition of cakes and ale as well as full moon rituals. I wanted a nice treat that I could make to celebrate the esbats.
Now for the recipe which I found on a lovely Austrian website. The Austrians call the cookies Vanillekipferl and they are delicious.
What you will need to make them :
- 180g butter
- 70g ground almonds
- 50g sugar
- 2 egg yolks
- 210g plain flour
Mix all of the ingredients into a short-crust dough and refrigerate for an hour.
Roll out the dough to about 1 cm and cut out crescent shaped biscuits. I personly found that you can also mould them with your hands just ensure that they are all approx 1 cm in thickness.
Place the cookies on an ungreased baking tray and bake at 200°C for about 10 minutes until they are a golden colour.
Once the cookies have cooled a little, mix some icing powder and vanilla sugar together in a bowl and gently cover the cookies in the mix.
With that the cookies are ready to eat.
Of course this is just the basics, you could easily put charms and spells on these cookies or incorporate them into your own personal rituals. The baking itself is a ritual of sorts. So feel free to add to the recipe if you so please.
I hope you guys give it a try, they are quick, easy and very tasty. Thank you for reading and blessed be!

Let it cool.
Strain the liquid into a glass.
Get your almond gum and strain out the excess liquid.
