OOC: Goodbye My Lovers.

So you may have noticed my activity slowly dwindling over the past couple of weeks and between work and everything else going on I have had to make the tough decision to leave Hartway. 

If I stay I’ll end up just popping on every four days, spending one night here then buggering off again and I don’t want to do that. It’s not fair for any of my characters or any other characters plotting with them. 

I am really going to miss all of you and your lovely baby characters so I will probably still stalk your blogs to see what’s going on, but if you want to keep in contact with me I will leave a few contact details below.

Halloween Night // Andy and Hazel

Hazel squinted her eyes at Andy as she pretended to critique his fixed mocking look before giving a solemn nod. “You got it. You’re now ready to take over the position of poutiest Hazel in the room.” She declared before grinning. “Which means I’ll get to be happiest Hazel in the room! Very exciting.” She finished with an even wider smile.

When Andy asked how much she had to drink, Hazel paused. She brought her hands up as she tried to count on her fingers as she remembered each drink she had had that night. There had been shots when they first arrived at the bar, Hazel still awkward and fidgety, and one of her coworkers had been putting some sort of red drink in front of her every time her glass went empty. Losing count on her fingers, she flexed them for a moment before holding both her hands up in an admission of confusion. “I have had many to drink tonight.” She admitted proudly before letting her hands drop back down.

She watched in amused uncertainty as Andy glanced around before piping up again. “You won’t have to carry me home, my feet still work.” Looking down, she moved her feet carefully as if proving her point. “But now that you’ve mentioned home, that sounds like a wonderful idea— I think i’m going to go.” Popping down from the barstool, Hazel just slightly swayed as she tried to right her balance on her feet again. Once she was standing firmly straight, she smiled at Andy and gave him a thumbs up. “See? I’m good to go.”

Andy watched amused as Hazel started to count on her fingers and ended up laughing loudly when she gave up and proudly announced that she had more than she could count tonight. It was good to see her having fun and smiling, even if it was spurred on by alcohol. A genuine smile was something she was missing in the weeks running up to her leaving Hartway the first time, and it was good to see her back to her old self.

Unconvinced of the working condition of her feet, Andy watched closely as Hazel moved down from her stool and shook slightly before she stood up confidently. He tilted his head and cocked a brow before shaking his head and exhaling, "Yeah, well, I'm not going to let you walk home yourself anyway." Getting up off his own stool, Andy picked up his costume head and tucked it under his arm, "In case you decide the street looks too comfy to pass up."

I dunno, I mean if they lowered the drinking age, the sale of alcohol would go up but so would the amount of idiots getting their stomachs pumped and the amount of liver and kidney problems, and alcoholism. It’s a catch 22.

You really think that because the drinking age is 21 it stops 18 to 20 year olds drinking? If they want to drink, they drink. It just makes it forbidden, which really just makes it all the more appealing.

I'm not saying I want to get 18 year olds drunk, I just think that if they make bad decisions they are theirs to make. How can you trust people to choose a government but not with their own lives?

Teddy? I was a teddy for Halloween, well, Ted, but hardly anyone picked up on that.

You don’t agree that 19 years old shouldn’t be drinking beer? What other laws do you disagree with?

I think 18 is a perfectly acceptable age. You can get married, have kids and work full time like someone who is 21, so why can't you enjoy a nice beer or a glass of wine?

You’re an ‘ask for forgiveness, not permission’ kinda guy?

More of a 'do what I want as long as it doesn't fuck someone else over' kinda guy. Sometimes it goes along with the laws and sometimes it doesn't. I don't agree with every law.

I've done it a lot. Put it in my back pocket, left it in a card machine, twice on holiday and almost always pissed.

Not really a stealing kind of guy. Well, the odd sweet when I was a kid but that's about it. I'd feel too guilty.

Yeah, I recognise you but I think this is the first time we've actually spoken. Waitresses and waiters just kind of appear in there...I just kind of stick to the kitchen and every time I pop my head out we have a new one.
