Lori heard the shuffling noises of her friends feet as he entered her apartment, it was silent more a moment. But it’d been silent all day, she’d gotten home from the diner at 4pm faking sickness, changed out of her uniform and flopped down face first into her mattress and proceeded to cover her head.

She was fine up until someone had said a few choice words to her as she served them and it just hit her hard, she didn’t normally let words get to her, but the things they said were horrible. Sure, she’d been bullied before but not to the extent where she felt absolutely stupid. 

Throughout the afternoon Lori had managed to polish of three cups off coffee, even though she didn’t drink the stuff, half a packet of cigarettes and two asprins and attempted to sleep, although it didn’t come.

"it’s open," she mumbled into the mattress, hoping the tall boy could hear her

Slowly, hesitantly, Andy pushed the door open, sticking his head around the door and smiling shyly at Lori before going in the rest of the way to the room. "Hi," he said softly. "How - how are you feeling?"

He had no idea what to do with himself. Was he supposed to just...lay down? Wait for her to...instruct him? God, he really hoped he wasn't blushing as much as it felt like he was.

Andy slipped out of his apartment, lounge pants and slippers ago, shuffling down the hall and carefully letting himself into Lori's apartment. He kneeling down to give her kitten a quick belly rub, happy that she seemed to remember him. He wasn't really sure what he was doing; this definitely wasn't something he was used to, but Lori had helped him out when he needed it, and if cuddles was going to make her feel better, well...he'd give it his best shot.

Structure wise, her apartment was set up exactly like his, so he headed down the hall he knew lead to the bedroom and knocked on the door.
