Andy's arm moved around the males waist to support him as he shifted some of his weight onto her. His words causing her eyes to roll. "Well my initial thought was to help you but I may have to consider it a bit more before I make my choice." She was teasing of course, the last thing she would do was turn her back on a friend, especially when they were in dire need. "What do you need me to do?"

They picked up the first item their hand came to, preparing to give a sarcastic example. “I mean, these Deluxe Wand Buffers are… What the hell is a wand buffer? “You are impossible.” She laughed, shaking her head as she started to count down the cash register. It wouldn’t be the first time that she had locked up with the other in the store. Lifting her other hand, she waved it. The closed sign flipped before the click of the lock sounded through the room. “I honestly don’t know what half of this stuff is. My guess would be capitalist bullshit.”

Pale digits curved against the corner of the building, gripping tightly onto the brick as sweat trickled down every inch of his body, complexion a sickly white. It had been days, weeks even since he last fed and his body was growing DESPERATE for his next feed. Wheezing and coughing, so so weak from every breath and word he managed to get out, his eyes shot up at the sound of approaching footsteps, eyes widening in lust. “And what a pleasant surprise you are,” he barely managed, a forced utter as he tried to muster up the strength to approach.

Andy had been leaving the shop to head home when she heard the coughing and wheezing coming from the alley. Turning on her heel, she made her way towards the sound, ready to help who ever was in trouble. But her eyes narrowed at the sight in front of her, a soft sigh leaving her lips. “Really Seb? You look like you’ve been hit by a train.”

“That’s the spirit. We could go dancing?” Gemma suggested as she began to spin around the shop. “Five more minutes and the real work begins.” 

“Only if we stop to get food first because I need something in my stomach before I subject myself to countless shots.” Andy laughed, watched Gemma’s actions, a smile coming to her lips. “Finally something to look forward too.”

“I know, but you wouldn’t have been the first to try so it wouldn’t have surprised me if those were your intentions.” She half teased, in a way making fun of her own ordeals. “Great, go on and lead the way.” She said, picking up her stuff off the table before following. 

Andy laughed, shaking her head. “I guess you’ll never know my true intentions.” She teased, leading the other out her back door.

“Center of the earth hot? Actually I haven’t measured the temperature.” He explained, trying now hard to get an estimate. “It’s for a phoenix.” He finally said, hoping she would at least know how to better help him, since it was now becoming more apparent that he couldn’t help himself. 

Andy nodded her head as Paul told her that gloves were for a Phoenix. It made it much easier for her to find what he actually needed. Going up on her tippy toes, she grabbed a basket from the shelf and began to look through it. “I actually do think we have a pair that are spelled to be able to withstand that level of flame.” Green eyes flickered over to the male, a smile curving on her lips. “And I can always make the spell stronger if I need to.”

By the way.” He grabbed a box of dried ground-valerian and scooped a small bit of powdered moonstone into a bag before plopping it onto the counter for Andy to ring him up. “Do you get off when the shop closes up? Let’s go grab a drink.” 

Andy rolled her eyes at Dominic as he teased her. “If it isn’t my favorite pain in the ass. How are you today?” Her tone held a note of teasing in it as she looked up from what she was signing to starting ringing up his stuff. “I can do that. I think I deserve one after today.”

“I…sorry,” was all Kai managed to work up the effort to say, beyond exhausted from her day at the hospital, she couldn’t even recall what it was she’d gone into the shop for. “I’m starting to draw a blank, and it’s been a long day, I feel like it might’ve been something for Emma.” She spoke aloud as though the other might actually care.

“It’s alright.” As long as she was quick, she didnt really mind, hearing the other woman’s words, she looked up from the paperwork that she was signing for the end of the night records. “Who is Emma?” she asked

“But then I wouldn’t get to savour the view.” Max offered a sly smile over their shoulder, trailing their fingers aimlessly along the shelf they’d been browsing. They shopped at Matilda’s often enough that they could probably find any regular stock as quickly as the staff, but they were growing rather fond of Andy’s company, if you could call it that. Their relationship was founded on lingering glances and late-night conversations through open windows, but trading the line between faux and sincere flirtation with Andy in the shop was always a fun way for Max to pass a little extra time. “You know, I don’t think I’ll find what I’m here for on any of these shelves…” Max was, of course, talking about the special ingredients they’d ordered, but again, it was fun to play around a bit.

A light laugh slipped its way from Andy’s lips at Max’s words, they were one of the people that she wouldn’t be entirely bothered by staying open for but that was beyond the point as her words brought the slightest blush to her cheeks. “It depends what view you are talking about because staring at magic goods all day tends to get boring after awhile, take it from me.”

“I suppose it is. I didnt intentionally try to poison you. It was an honest mistake. I just picked up the wrong cheesecake.” Andy shrugged her shoulders, moving around the counter to grab her coat. “Lets go.”

“Fast? Okay, well there’s the pressure.” He murmured mostly under his breath as he looked around the shelves. “Have you got any metal resistant gloves? To handle hot metals that is… or am I in a completely different store”

Andy Andy sighed as she went back to counting down the register. Hearing Paul’s question, she glanced up her eyebrows furrowing. “Good question. Let me check.” Sliding off her stool, she made her way around the counter, towards one of the back shelves. “How hot are we talking?”
