Fiat 500 My Car, 1968, by Francis Lombardi. Carrozzeria Francis Lombardi had made special body versions of Fiats since the 1950s. It's ironic then that their most successful model in terms of sales used mostly standard Fiat 500 bodywork. What the coachbuilder did was create a luxury version of the small rear engined Fiat. Outwardly there was a fake grill added at the front and a roof with two transverse ribs and a small rear spoiler. Inside there was a complete makeover with leather upholstery, a wooden steering wheel and gearknob and redesigned dashboard. Francis Lombardi made several thousand My Car 500s including a trasformabile version with a roll-back roof. Sadly this wasn't;t enough to keep the coachbuilder in business and the company folded in 1972
