Lips Baby!
Letâs talk about lippy!! Iâm pretty sure since Kylie Jenner decided to roll out her lip kits that matte is now completely relevant to wear on our lips!! When it comes to a beautiful pout she knows how to get us over the line at the online checkout đ and if your like me and couldnât help yourself but purchase nearly all her colours in the first couple of months of their release then itâs probably time to put those lippyâs in the bin.......... I have found that over time the lip kits become very thick and hard to use and feel like dried mud on my lips đą not really the nicest feeling. Â Over the last couple of months after I removed all my Kylie Lip Kits from my makeup stash and tossed them I was in the market for some new ones and decided to give a couple of different brands a go. Â The first one I tried was Jeffrey Star, after hearing lots of fab reviews I decided to give the matte lippy a go. Â And I loved them. đđť Easy to apply, stayed on 80% of the day and was easy to remove. Â The next brand I tried was Nu Skin Powerlips Fluid. Â I am lucky enough to be a distributor for Nu Skin so I was able to get them at wholesale price which prompted me to try a couple of colours. Â These ones are my favourite Matte Lippy that I have ever usedđ. Â They go on so easily with no colour bleeding and they last all day and come off easily with face wash. Â I know Iâm a distributor so I may be biased but they really are the best I have ever used!!

Thinking đ
Perhaps too much? Iâm lying here wide awake and itâs 10:46pm on a Monday night. I have been up late working on budgeting and I finished my task and headed to the pillow. But I canât switch offđ. There is so much information swirling around in my head that if I close my eyes it just makes it worse. Isnât it crazy to think that I am so tired that I thought I would lie down and be asleep within minutes but no here I am typing this blog in the hope that someone else also has this issue and they can tell me Iâm not cray crayđ.
The whole count sheep thing doesnât work and yep at times when I just canât nod off I have tried it, and it only made me giggle at the thought that I was actually doing itđ. Why count sheep anyway why not horses or cows or any other animal, why sheep?đ If you know the answer to this one please enlighten me cause Iâm keen to knowđ. But on a more serious note why canât we get to a certain time of night and just switch off, why is it that my husband {Ricky} can lay down and boom he is out like a light yet he still complains about not getting enough sleep......... and here I am thinking dam I wish that was me.
Would love to know your tricks on getting to sleep and switching off a nighttime cause this sucks haha!

It takes time.
Iâm sitting in my daughters room as she gets herself to sleep. We give her a bottle before bed and then at 7:30pm we pop her in the cot and let her go to sleep. I wait in her room until she falls asleep on her own. She moves around a lot but dosnt cry just squirms đ.
We have a little night light for her that changes colour and she seems to be mesmerised by it until she goes to sleep đ´. Being a parent isnât tough to me itâs the most enjoyable experience I will ever go through. I have always been pretty optimistic about most things and I have taken the same approach with raising our daughter. To me itâs simple. When it gets to bed time, itâs bed time and thatâs that. I have always been a firm believer that my kids will always sleep in their own beds. Sure there were times when I nursed Adaline in bed, but as soon as she was asleep I would pop her in her bassinet or cot. I absolutely love my sleep and I would say that I am selfish in the fact that I wasnât going to share my space in my bed with anyone đ¤¨.
I knew that if I was going to be at my best for my daughter that I had to sleep.
Let me know your thoughts on this and if your kids sleep in your bed or on their own.
My girl is sound alseep now đ

Miracle of life.
Today I had the pleasure of witnessing my beautiful horse Symphony give birth to her first foal. In this same day my brothers horse Amazon had to be put to sleep from an injury to her leg. Itâs amazing how the world goes around and when a life is taken another is born. Horses really are amazing creatures.
Within 1 hour of Symphonyâs foal being born he was up and walking, searching for his mums milk. I am so blessed to be able to see such beauty at its most natural.
Welcome to our family little Spirit.
Feeling frustrated.
Itâs tough, and unless you have been through it you wonât understand how tough it really is. Iâm talking about weight. Yep that dreaded thing that has consumed the world. Itâs no lie that we move less and eat more. And I am definitely guilty of this. From the moment I finished school it started. I was depressed and I used food to make me happy. Throughout the day the thought of eating my favourite food that night was enough to get me through. My comfort food was steak, chips, pasta and eggs! Gosh I loved that meal so much. As time went on the weight started to pile on. I would loose some but then gain that back plus extra. This pattern went on and on to this very day. Iâm happier than ever with the perfect husband and the most beautiful daughter who has just turned ONE!
I still canât seem to break the cycle that is food. Each night I think to myself, ok. Letâs do this. Letâs start tomorrow with a fresh start. I have the best intentions after a day of terrible eating and then I wake up and Iâm like oh itâs ok I will start tomorrow........
Before I was married on the 30/05/2015 I was very determined that I wasnât going to walk down that isle a fatty! And although I didnât get to my goal weight I lost 25kg. So this tells me that I know I can do it.
What worked for me for my wedding was accountability. I counted calories throughout the week with a limit of 1200 and I exercised when I wanted to but the focus was on the food. At the end of each week we would have a chat with our nutritionist/trainer and we would go through what we ate. I started to learn what was good and what was bad.
So........... I know what to do I just need to do it.
Would love to here your thoughts on what worked for you and how you did it if you have been through a similar experience.

From that moment, I knew something was wrong, I just didn't feel right. Â I was a first time mum being pregnant for the first time. Â All was wonderful in the world knowing that I had a little something special growing inside me. Â The next chapter of our lives was about to start and the possibilities seemed endless. Â At six weeks pregnant I started to feel good after having a couple weeks of yuckiness, I thought to myself well if that is the worst of it this should be a good pregnancy. Â Little was I to know that I had just lost my baby. Â A few days went on and I knew something was up I just didn't feel pregnant anymore. Â My symptoms were gone. Â I did not have any bleeding so I assumed all was ok.The biggest mistake I made was assuming. Â Having a good doctor throughout pregnancy is very important. Â I saw my doctor at around 6 weeks pregnant. Â I said that I had done an at home pregnancy test and it had come back positive. Â The doctor said congratulations! Â Because I had never been pregnant before I was at the complete mercy of the doctor, expecting them to give me all the information I needed and to perform all the necessary tests. Â At my appointment I thought it was strange that my doctor didn't request a blood test to confirm my pregnancy, but I thought well they are the doctor so perhaps I don't need one yet?? Â Looking back this was very upsetting because I had already lost my baby by this stage and the next 6 weeks could have been avoided. From this point 4 weeks had passed and I had a little bleeding. Â I went straight to the doctor (a different doctor). Â The first thing he asked was had I had a blood test to confirm my pregnancy and I said no. Â He was shocked. Â I had a blood test right away and while I was having that test I started to bleed, A LOT. I physically felt OK but I was in shock from what was coming out of me. Â The amount of blood that came from my body was shocking, I was terrified, at one stage I thought......... am I going to bleed to death? Â I went into the hospital, the bleeding was brought under control and everything was OK. Â It was confirmed that I had definitely had a miscarriage and that it had happened some weeks ago and that my body was now letting it go.Every woman is different in the way they experience a miscarriage if they are unfortunate enough to have one. What I want to come from me sharing this is that women know what to look for and what to ask for when being pregnant for the first time. Â I was never told what to look out for and that having a miscarriage is always a possibility. Â I like many woman didn't realise how common a miscarriage is. Â I think this is because its just not talked about. Â I am a very optimistic person and know that these things can happen I just wish I had of known what to look for and I wish I had of been more educated about pregnancy. Â We are so reliant on our doctors to direct us to the best path and we need to take control of our own bodies and if something isn't right we need to do what is necessary to have the best outcome. After this ordeal I was lucky enough to fall pregnant again straight away and I did things very different the second time around and I now have a beautiful baby girl who is 10 months old and she is just perfect! Â You can never have too many blood tests or ultrasounds to give you piece of mind and to make you comfortable with your pregnancy. Â I hope by me sharing my story that it will encourage others to share their experiences to so that we know we are not alone. Thankyou for reading Angela xx
