We genuinely see so little of Shisui its so fucked up. The little we get is that his father was sick, he lived with his father and mother, and he was the family breadwinner. He got his Mangekyou in the war. We get almost no backstory besides that. And it's so intriguing that Shisui is so closed off, it seems? There are so many reasons he could be like that but we'll never know for sure y'know. Unless Boruto decides to be fucked up and have a Shisui ep but I don't really even want that
I don't want to buy mass-produced garbage from a big box store so I go to etsy but half of etsy is now dropshipped mass-produced garbage or AI slop so I go to the local arts and crafts street market but a ton of those booths are also selling the same generic plastic objects or identical stickers or 3D printed dragons so WHERE do I buy real trinkets and art from sincere freaks
great job everyone lets hit the showers
Not again
gentle reminder that you can’t get this kind of nonsense from any other site
This thread is almost eight years old and it has damn well earned its place among the Tumblr pantheon as a Heritage Post™️
The older i get the more i understand why some people become obsessed with privacy, not because they’re hiding something, but because being constantly perceived starts to feel spiritually exhausting.
Did you know that soda machines at restaurants and movie theaters spy on you? That most common new cars now record your sexual preferences and send it to the manufacturer (and also data about anyone who also gets in your car, walks by your car, and maybe happens to be within visual range of your car)? That grocery stores are trying to force customers to download an app to scan barcodes on shelves instead of putting up prices, so the app can scan the phone, decide how much that customer should be squeezed for, and adjust the price? That more and more innocent people are being sent to jail for crimes committed hundreds of miles away because an AI facial recognition algorithm spit their faces out and the cops didn't bother to do the most basic of checks?
I am not uptight about privacy because I'm hiding something. I'm uptight about it because the people who dismiss my right to privacy are dangerous to you and me and our families, personally, all the time.
And often, they are assholes, too.
in some way i have failed every single social interaction i have ever had
it's so wild when your parent changes when you become an adult. my dad is very cordial and non confrontational - he regularly helps me with adult stuff like changing the oil or providing insurance tips. he's always smiling when i call him on video and providing jokes when i complain about college
when i was a kid, i would have to tiptoe around his anger issues often, sometimes running quietly past his work table until he got his own place completely separate from our family, locked away for days. every so often he would start screaming in the car and trying to hit me or my brother for talking too loud while my mom attempted to calm him down as he swerved on the road. and now he, smiling, helps me with car insurance.
like oh, this is just who you are when you have power over someone, and this is who you are when you dont have power over someone. no wonder you can have a normal life, friends, work while scaring the shit out of your kids and wife. i see it now. i see why no one would have believed me. that, i think, is one of the core fears of trauma - seeing the outside of it from the perspective of other adults that brushed you aside, and understanding. of course, that understanding gives the opposite of solace; it just gives you more grief with nowhere for it to go
wound dressings and bandages are lingerie for the enlightened pervert
i know i’ve talked about this before but it’s really insane when you were passively suicidal for two decades and out of the blue you catch yourself saying shit like “i’ve been trying to eat a lot of fibre because i don’t want to risk colorectal cancer in my 40s” like okay … 40s are part of the plan now?
its 3 am and im tire d and someone posted this strategy board in ffxiv and im crying

happy birthday to my original babygirl, Itachi Uchiha
I'll never tire of making terrible and wonderful things happen to him
I managed to color it! I feel like a toddler getting back into digital art oml
So in this scene Itachi actually has a duty free afternoon and Shisui comes back from a mission to tease him while no one else is around. And Itachi lets it happen hehe
