fire walk with me came out and told the most harrowing fucking story of the sexual, physical and mental abuse laura palmer went through leading up to her death, but people are too hung up on stupid fucking 'lore' or whatever to care about that outside of "ermm yeah but how does this connect to everything else"

twin peaks is literally about this never ending cycle of abuse, the literal 'evil that men do', but people are too hung up on trying to literally interpret all of the little quirky details to really care about that. leland literally says bob 'came inside' him as a young boy and then he tries to do the same thing to laura. how do people not understand the supernatural stuff is just extra dressing to emphasize how fucking scary these situations are to be in.
