frank truman really does function perfectly as harrys chet desmond, doesnt he? theres just something about these detatched refrations of these men that shows to some extent how hollow and hopeless their ideals are at the end of the day, like you know where this idealized sort of esoteric fbi agent lifestyle, going off and solving all these blue rose cases gets you? it gets you fucking disappeared, is what. you know where strictly falling into the chalk outline of this archetypal stoic local sheriff cowboy man gets you? not anywhere desirable, thats for sure. theyre really almost, warnings, the worst and yet most "ideal" versions of themselves condensed and its such an exceptionally well-written thing going on there and such a great way of communicating whats wrong with these guys and what they think of themselves to be, or what they WANT themselves to be. love that for them like yes babe collect that garmonbozia etc.

Richard Beymer, who played Benjamin Horne in Twin Peaks, took a remarkable series of black and white, behind the scenes photographs during the filming of the original series’ final episode in 1991. With David Lynch’s permission, Beymer used his own Olympus camera to document the final days on set after the in-house photographer had left due to the show’s cancellation.
